If I remember that sweet 16 game correct, we shot it so well from 3 that we temporarily forced them out of that 2-3 zone. They tried man defense to slow us down
That is how it went. We shot them out of their zone, and then when they went to man they couldn't guard Chuck Davis down low (granted we were solidly ahead by that point).
I remember that tournament so well. Pettway's runner in the opening game. The Stanford comeback in the second half. Lighting Syracuse up. Getting steamrolled by UCONN

I appreciate the heads up. I'd like to think that I would have eventually noticed, but I can't say for sure that I would before the game was over.

Crushed me. I was on such a high from getting to that point, and then Ben Gordon just annihilated us.

Was it Gordon? I thought the kid from Florida was the one who killed us in that game. Forget his name.

Pretty sure Gordon torched us but the answer might just be yes, in general. They had a bunch of guys.

Emeka Okafor was barely a four star and almost went to Vanderbilt if I remember correctly. Their shooting guard was someone Gottfried wanted really bad, his name was Rashad Anderson and he scored 28 against us.

Yeah, Gordon had 36.
Anderson also had 28.
Anderson also had 28.

I bet you were like, damn, this is the slowest in game thread of all time.

I wonder how far we would've made it had we not had to played Uconn in the elite 8, they might of been the only team we would't have been able to hang with as hot as we were playing.

MBB: Keon Ellis knocks down the front end of a 1 and 1 trip to the line and is now FSW's single season record holder with 504 points
Single season record holder in points scored and they have 3 regular season games left.
He's also broken the league record in career steals and is only a sophomore.

Well it's a junior college so there aren't going to be any juniors or seniors.

We have never caught a break with placement. NEVER......,,. I don’t know who we’ve pissed off, but it’s higher than the NCAA.

So that one is now over for us unless Memphis signs a bigger target or Oats is willing to pay. If Penny gets heavily involved there is a 100% chance money is on the table. Same deal as Wade.

Ellis announced Friday via Twitter that he received an official scholarship offer to play at Alabama. Other schools that have visited campus to see Ellis include: Iowa State, Kansas State, Georgia, Oklahoma State, South Florida, and several more. Coach Nate Oats has not been on campus at Alabama for a full calendar year yet, but one can see what style of play he wants to play: fast and hard-nosed.
Ellis has traits that would flourish under Oat’s system such as his elite 3-point shooting and his long wingspan that he uses to play excellent defense. One of the most underrated aspects of Ellis’ game is his defense.
He averages 2.5 steals and over a block per game this season. Ellis has the defensive effort and offensive skill that coach Oats is desperately looking for in a player. Don’t anticipate a decision from Ellis until after their season concludes, but he is sure to have plenty of interested programs looking his way.
