Something to note on Mane, he is very old for his class (turned 19 back in May) and is not from the United States, so he is eligible for the 2020 draft if he chooses to bypass college.

How is Karim Mane not a top 10-15 player in this class? His film is sick

Yeah, I'm all in on Karim Mane. What a freaking stud. Hope he chooses to play basketball for free tuition instead of real money.

ESPN NBA Draft analyst Jonathan Givony noted in an Insider article that Mane will be slated for a first-round projection in his next 2020 mock draft. The NBA allows players who reach their 19th birthday before the calendar year of the draft to receive automatic eligibility, which applies to Mane. He could also fall under the category of an international player as he has not resided or attended school in the United States.

Counter point:

Karim Mane is an athletic combo guard that has drawn some significant draft buzz as a prospect for the 2020 draft. However, he will likely need more seasoning either in college or in another professional basketball league, as he has struggled to make shots consistently in the AAU, U19 World Cup, and in the high school showcase events. Right now, he may be far from being ready to play in the NBA, but he could be a player to keep an eye on in the future.

Apparently he's considered a possible late 1st round pick. ESPN has him going 23rd in their most recent mock draft. That's borderline. A year in college could boost him to a lottery pick or tank his draft stock. He'd probably be best served to enter the draft if late 1st becomes the consensus on him.

Have counted over a dozen NBA front office personnel here for Karim Mane. Potential straight to the league guard from Canada. Will take an official visit to Marquette on January 4

Weirdly and selfishly hoping he doesn’t look NBA ready.

Rough first outing for Canadian prospect Karim Mane against Bridgton. Struggled to get things going offensively but did have some flashes showing his ability and potential as a playmaker in the pick & roll.

Will play again tomorrow morning against Montverde CBD.

Good. Show enough promise to know you have to commit to Oats and work on your game to be a future lottery pick.
