Yea that's what I was thinking

That’s actually a good point

Wouldn't he not get to campus until Thursday night / Friday morning? I don't think that lines up at all.

If Jerry Meyer put a cb in for Jackson someone on campus has some type of info.

Thought they said for Isiah Jackson earlier in the thread

Alabama’s Antoine Pettway was in this evening for four-star junior JD Davison, a source told @Stockrisers. Major priority for the Tide, has already visited campus.

Yeah you’re right actually. I didn’t know when he was supposed to arrive but it’s Friday. But still, there’s confidence coming from somewhere if Meyer put that CB in

Don’t get me wrong, Meyer’s CB is one of the ones you want, but he does have a habit of changing his CB consistently based off of rumors and instinct and in this case, it’s likely because UK is booked on Scholarships. So I’d guess he’s probably just changing his CB to avoid an “L”. The CB I’d really like to see is Chris Fisher changing his to us, which would surely mean UK is out.

BTW Jackson would be my highest priority right now. We desperately need a rim protector, and a lot of people think he’s the best in the class at it.

Jerry Meyer said he could see us landing a class of Burnett, Jackson, and Bediako. Said he’s not going to the bank with it but he’s optimistic.
Also said he’s lost on Auburn’s class. They’re not in good position with any of their top targets and he really doesn’t know about their backup options

I agree. I feel like Ray Hawkins could be a rim protector but from Everything I’ve seen/heard he isn’t ready yet and will probably need a redshirt

Does any body know what was said in a new thread on 247 about Basketball recruiting?
Thanks.
Thanks.

That would be curious considering he already thinks we have too many bigs.

I don't think Hawkins is the super athletic type that those other two are. I think he is more skilled with some athleticism but those guys are next level athketes.

Did Bediako reclassify?

He’s considering it but hasn’t yet

Would we even have three spots open next season?

If Oats can get the top talent he’s after, I imagine he’ll make room for better players. I feel like he’s said that he recruits knowing a couple transfers will inevitably happen each year.

He’ll definitely make room. Hawkins would probably be the first you’d ask to leave if you had to push someone

Isaiah Jackson, the 6-foot-9 forward from Waterford Mott (MI) and The Family Detroit AAU, is targeting a mid-November college announcement, his father told ZAGSBLOG.
“Decision middle of November,” Wesley Jackson said by text.
The No. 3-ranked power forward in the Class of 2020 per 247Sports.com, Jackson is down to Alabama, Kentucky and Syracuse. He will leave for his final official visit to Alabama Thursday night. He has previously visited both Kentucky and Syracuse.
Kentucky coach John Calipari saw Jackson for a second time earlier this month, his father said, while “[Syracuse coach Jim] Boeheim and Cal stay in touch weekly.”
This year on the EYBL circuit, Jackson averaged 10.9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks.
