Yeah, surprised they have Ole Miss so low too considering who they return and going into Kermit Davis' second year. Tom Crean should improve UGA and brought in a nice recruiting class, but they're going to play a lot of freshman. I also trust Barnes to be able to put together another solid team, but they lost a lot of production and seniority.

Those are three teams for which finishing anywhere between #5 and #12 in the SEC would not surprise me at all.

Like I mentioned above, I think Tennessee is getting a lot of the benefit of the doubt after 2 great seasons but --along with AU and LSU -- they have huge question marks.

Most "experts" making preseason rankings seem to give a lot more weight to "the hot coach coming off a good season" than they do the complete roster quality and experience.

It's the latter which explains how Frank Martin is a NIT coach one season, Final Four the next and 12th in the SEC the year after that.

By that same measure, there's also teams like Arkansas and Missouri that could easily surprise to the level Ole Miss did last season.

Hopeful but we still are a little too thin in the frontcourt and need more players that fit the system. I think anything higher than 7th is really pushing it.

I was actually trying to give some real advice. I think it would have gone much better if you had moved them up 1-2 spots. I was curious to see what your reasoning was going to be regarding Tennessee>LSU.

When you’re a basketball program of our prestige, we’re a hat kids want on the table.

Not a bad list, Mizzou - the home state school and four blue bloods.

Five-star rising senior Cam’Ron Fletcher is down to a final-five: Michigan State, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, and Alabama.

Tells me that he will likely take all of his visits. Has already visited MSU, Mizzou, and Kentucky. Could visit them again.

Pretty significant news, Fletcher tells me that he will visit every school in his final-five. All will be official visits, he will begin taking those visits next month.

Burnett will cut his list down to 12 schools. Has many programs vying to make this list. His recruitment is still open.

Quick question: Do the recruits listed on the front page under each year all have offers or is it just showing kids Bama has interest in?

Curious because Musselman has come in and not been shy at throwing a bunch out but still focusing on a select group of kids.

It might help. They usually do the opposite of what Saban wants.
