They should make our basketball team a version of our grey Softball uniforms. Those things are nice.

Thinking back on it I think we were a Bettle Bolden type player away from making it to the tournament and winning a game or two last year. We had no point guard depth behind Kira aside from Avery Jr who was slightly below average at best. Just bad roster management by Avery, you're not gonna win with one good ball handler in today's game.
Coach Oats noticed the deficiency right away and went out and got probably the best Grad transfer guard available.
I think we are all excited for next year because we know with the team we have coming back, plus the new players we have coming in and Coach Oats at the helm this could be a really good season.

OK, Im not Bamafan18 but i did find something on twitter. So Tevin Mack posted photos of him in his graduation cap holding a Bama Basketball.

I wish he'd have at least corrected the guy's spelling of Oats. The eternal enigma of "why so many people misspell so many specific words" is one of the most mysterious to me.

Avery Jr. was far below average at best and it wasn't bad roster management so much as pure nepotism. If Avery had signed a legit backup PG he'd have had to bench his son and probably end up getting divorced.

He did sign a backup...Jared Butler.

Signed Butler before Kira came on board. Once Kira was in he let go of Butler. It was either or between the two.

I know. But Butler was on the roster and IMO he chose his son over Butler...and I wouldnt be shocked if he had the medical staff not clear him on purpose.

We would’ve kept Butler if he wasn’t ruled medically ineligible by our staff. Not sure if Kira reclassifies if that was the case though.

The Butler medical clearance issues were rumored well before Kira committed here.

Well,lets just be thankful our staff didnt clear Butler. Because if they did I think we would have made the tournament and been stuck with Avery.
