Thoroughly and finally disgusted by this basketball program. I am done with giving it my time and attention until I have a reason too.

After last night’s ultimate “hold my beer” moment for Bama hoops over the last 5 years, I don’t believe any coach, player, school administrator, nor fan can blame any of us who are just done with it. And I am freaking done. Over it.

It’s time for this program to give US as fans a WORTHWHILE REASON to pay attention to it.

Roundtable saying they wished they would have seen some fire from Oats last night. I feel like he was getting after them all night to play harder and they just never responded.

Hell, he told someone (likely Reese) that their play was "soft as shite".

The sad part is that despite the injuries, the roster, the short bench, and everything else, this still should have been an NCAA tourney team. All you have to do is beat A&M and Vandy at home and we probably end up making it. And the team wasn’t ready to play last night at all. And that falls squarely on the shoulders of Oats and his staff. And just watch, we’ll come out Saturday flying around like our asses are on fire like we did the Ole Miss game.

I highly doubt that. There would have been no Petty or Kira; Javian Davis wouldn't have trimmed down his weight; and there's a possibility that we see more PT from Forbes.

Not saying we'll be fine under Oats, but there's a reason Byrne made the move as quickly as he did.

Did I just wake up to a b-ball loss to Vandy? At home?

I was a late 80s basketball kid and still remember that time fondly. Is it too much to just ask for a winning program again? My only frustration back then was not getting beyond the Sweet 16.

My hope is to get that feeling again. If you guys were too young to experience it - it was phenomenal to be on par with Kentucky year in and year out.

someone stick a fork in me cuz I am done. This team wont even get an NIT bid. The NIT now has qualifications to make their tournament.

Not counting out future years though

The positive thing going forward is it’s a lot easier to fix the defense/effort problems we see under Oats.Avery and Grants problems were all offensive.....which Oats has pretty much fixed

Hopefully this means he knows this roster needs blown up completely.

Kira (even though he’s NBA bound)
Herb
Petty
Shack
Jelly
Gary
Rojas
Javian
Keon
Primo (hopefully)

These are the only players I hope we have on the roster next year that we don’t know about yet.

Galin and Reese need to go.

I’m indifferent on Forbes and Hawkins.

More from Oats: "We're going to have to get everybody that's on the team in the game to give us everything they have for the next 2-3-4, however many games we can scrape (together). And you're really going to find out the character of some of these guys on this team."

Nate Oats getting fired up as he ends his news conference. “We’re going to find out the character of these players. … Are you going to give your best effort? Are you coachable? Do you love basketball?”

That’s a wrap as Oats answers the final question and leaves frustrated.

well, they better find someone that can coach defense.
That was pitiful. I dont even know why Reese is on the court. He looks 70 years old, the way he plays.

Cause we ain’t got no other option. At least Reese does provides the potential to shoot....even though Galin and Javian play harder
