SFA at 79 in NET, Belmont at 105 in NET. Both are awfully close to being Q2.

Is Lunardi even a good bracketologist? He move South Carolina into his Next 4 out over us? And last season he didn’t even have UNC Greensboro and Alabama on his bubble and they were the 1st and 2nd team out.

The answer is no. He’s mediocre at best. The percentage number they use to make him look good is purely based off of the number of teams they get correct in the field of 68 teams. Maybe about 4-6 of those spots are truly in question so of course his hit percentage is high.

My honest opinion I think we are the 4th or 5th team out right now.

I’m not sure if we’re that high TBH. A lot of it depends on how much they weigh the NET ranking and factor injuries into the equation. The fact that Herb Jones has been playing with one hand is nationally known at this point, but will they factor that in since he’s still technically playing?

Right now, I think 19 wins gets us in for sure. 18 wins would depend on if we can get another Q1 win which is a shite stain on our resume right now and even then we might be relying on them to take injuries into consideration.

Sounds like he is ahead of schedule. Please let him be back by the Mizzou game.

I don't get why some of you aren't invested in this team. It's an extremely likable team that fights hard every time out and has survived a slew of injuries/misfortunes to live another day. I get the end result has you guys where you are used to being this time of year (which I understand can be exhausting) but this team is enjoyable to watch and is overperforming.

It's a running joke because anytime we all get excited and "invested" we go out and lose to Texas A&M.

The two SEC teams last season that went 10-8 made the NCAA Tournament: Miss. State (5 seed) and Ole Miss (8 seed)

Counterpoint: whenever I get even remotely excited about Alabama basketball they immediately lose at home to an awful team like aTm or Vandy.

I don’t like it when Nate or any Bama hoops coach says if we win X number of games, we should make the tournament. That’s like poking the bear with a stick. I get what he’s doing and saying but it’s better not said in public. Our resume isn’t stellar and you are daring them to leave you out.

I think we gotta win the next 4 which will include 2 in the SECT.
That'll be 20 wins & give us a legitimate chance.
Hopefully Ky would not be our Friday opponent in the tournament.
Win 3 of the next 4, chances are probably slim.

I agree. It would be much nicer to eventually hear Nate talking about what our seeding will be in the NCAAT instead of how many W's we have to scrounge together at the end of a season just to have a hope of getting in. Looking forward to better days ahead with this program hopefully.

I disagree. I like that he's drawing attention. I don't think the committee has any agenda to prove a point or keep Bama out. If anything, his comments might shame them into paying attention.

Would be doubly good for us if LSU wins @Arky Wednesday night, would put LSU back in the top 30 net meaning they would again be a quad one win for us plus Arky would lose.
