To be honest, I didn't think his reasoning for getting a waiver was that great. However, when compared to the number of kids that have gotten waivers for the multitude of reasons, his case seemed just as good as any of those and that's what really sucks.

The university should provide the lawyers and go for it.

Allegedly calling him something he didn't even hear and found out about as a rumor on Facebook. I said this a while back. Quinerly fricked up by not alleging something he could file a lawsuit over if they didn't give him what he wanted.

Byrne should file for an injunction. As someone stated, there are no standards, no guidelines, it’s just whether or not they feel like giving you a waiver.

It’s a shame we can’t get some sort of injunction to let him play.

We probably can. Memphis did it with James "Definity A Longtime Family Friend Of Penny" Wiseman, and he's playing. The question is whether they decide to bury you in sanctions out of spite if the player is ultimately deemed to have been ineligible. They aren't going to say he was eligible while the injunction was in effect. That isn't how they work. They have punished programs for playing kids who they themselves deemed eligible but later changed their minds about.

This request was denied because:

1) its Alabama
2) Book Richardson was involved.

Lawyer up and fight the bastards. I asked Cecil and I still don’t have an answer if they gave a reason for the denial. What kind of organization has no standards to follow? What could it hurt to fight them? They’ve already said no.
