They just flashed the story on ESPN2. It said, “Coach Penny Hardaway assisted Wisemans family move in 2017.” Seems pretty obvious, but hey what do I know.

Gave his family $11,500 to move from Nashville to Memphis. That’s a lot of fricking money for a move only 2 hrs away

It was also probably just a down payment and is in line with the rumors that Penny was basically recruiting kids to go to Memphis if he got hired by Memphis for like a year before Memphis actually hired him.

Yeah, the rumors were that Penny basically Fulmered Tubby and made it known that if Memphis hired him he could guarantee all these 5 star recruits would come there, but if they didn't hire him he'd direct those kids elsewhere.

an article i read said that the ncaa was claiming penny is a booster because he gave money to memphis back in '08. i guess once a booster always a booster. but i'd like to see how the ncaa handled other cases like this.

Rice is bad, but when your team goes on a 7 minute scoring drought and you shoot 13% from 3, you're bound to lose to anyone. Weird shite happens in basketball.
