He probably has enough potential he wouldn’t have to go overseas and would get picked up for a g league team. Still would be dumb though he has a much easier path to a big paycheck and a legit NBA shot if he comes back next year.

Y’all look what Luke posted about the white seats in front of the student section tonight. This shite drives me crazy.

quote:

our students were incredible tonight. we had one problem the whole night: there was some arm-folder sitting in the white seats in front of us that took serious objection to something that was yelled during the game tonight.
quote:

he told me that our students needed to be quiet because the people on the court couldn’t hear us anyways. he exerted more energy chastising our great students than he did cheering for the tide the entire game. this is a problem.
quote:

this shouldn’t happen, but it has been happening for a long time. we have great fans in coleman, but too often do we have people like tonight sitting in the white seats who take exception to the fact that the students, yes the students, were making noise.
quote:

this ideology undermines everything we have done to make coleman an intimidating basketball environment and it needs to stop. it needs to stop right now.

frick that Old bastard. I had the same thing happen to me at BDS one time.

Oh, I agree.

Defense has progressed this season, as well as his rebounding.

He has no mid game or driving abilities, but I think he will take the rat poison.

fwiw, Kira's only game is a decent handle and max speed to the basket. Maybe that's enough to make the league? Idk

Student section needs to be closer to floor and run the length of the floor. Period.

We should do that now before the renovation. Get rid of those white seats and just have students standing on the floor

This is a tough three week stretch though. We are probably already done by the time he gets back

Just in case anyone is interested, Kira played 40 minutes tonight. He’s averaging 37.2 minutes this season. Petty is averaging 33.9. Nobody else is averaging over 30. That’s a lot to ask of anyone, especially your point, the most active player on the floor.

Most of us want the basketball program to succeed and some of us have been fans since the 80s.

Being a realist is no excuse to sit back and enjoy losing or be a smart arse because some people react in ways that you don’t think are appropriate.

I agree it seems like we get a lot of cheap whistles But people need to understand it’s gonna be hard for us to attempt as many free throws as the other team with the style we play. We typically shoot way more threes than the opponent. Today we took 31 and they took 16. Shooting that many threes, there’s a lot of possessions down the court we don’t even get a chance to draw a foul.

Jimmy Whitt for Arkansas was questionable for the game and played 39 minutes scoring 26 points on an injured calf. He too is averaging over 37 minutes a game.

They basically only played 6 players tonight, they don't have any more depth than we do.

Have they done it all season? Kira, for the second year in a row.

I mean we haven't played well since before the Vandy game. Throw in the injuries and it just makes the collapse happen more quicker. Unless something drastic changes, we aren't winning many more games.

They have had a 7 man rotation all season, lately they go with only 6 some games like tonight.

I was really impressed with Arkansas tonight. Their best 3 players, Whitt, Mason and Joe were all questionable. They all 3 ended up playing and played hard, Whitt and Mason combined for 58 points and both played over 38 minutes.

They are a good team. It might have been a different game if we had Herb but I still give them credit, they outplayed us tonight at our place.

Due to whatever reasons, I believe that we’ve peaked. It’s no fault of Oats, he’s just dealing with the cards that he was dealt.

We’ll be better next season. 15 wins this season is a good sign, I believe
