You should care. It's a conference team we play at least twice every year.

The best team I ever coached lost in the playoffs to a team that paid players to come to their school. It was not allowed in our conference. I had seniors that I had coached since 6th grade lose their last game to a team that cheated. We easily would have won the championship that year had it not been for that.

If LSU is buying players like it appears, it matters and should be dealt with. I have no idea if Watford is there for that reason but we sure could have used him tonight.

Hate to break it to you buddy but they’re multiple kids on every power conference team getting cash. It just depends on how much your boosters are willing to spend. I can guarantee you Over half of our football players are getting paid.

I guarantee Petty got money to come here and it is the lamest excuse in the book to use when everyone does it

He crying about Watford. We didn’t get Watford not because we weren’t willing to pay but because we weren’t to match what LSU was willing to pay

Best bring our hardhats & all out effort.
They'll fight to the end to not go 3-5 in conference.

And I say that as somewhere who has dealt with that 10+ different times across multiple sports both as a player and a dad. The response is to get after their arse, whoever they are. Doesn't matter how they got there. They are lined up against you, take their arse to school. Continually whining about stuff like that is lame, IMHO, both as a fan and as a player or coach involved.

I actually agree. I coach baseball and last year during the world series a team from our same parish showed up at the world series in Chalmette with 2 kids that had not played in the state tournament, both of them poached from AA tournament teams. They got around the rule by finding a loop hole in USSSA rules. We still went out competed, kept the game close and beat that arse in the last inning.

If I remember correctly, Nate’s last Buffalo team played 12 players decent minutes. So yeah, we’re paper thin compared to what he wants to do. We played 5 guys at or over 30 minutes tonight. Forbes had 14, Galin had 11 and Davis played 7. We just don’t have enough players that can play. Galin’s minutes are a waste every game. That dude belongs at a mid major and not a great one.

So we’ve got Kira, Petty, Herb, and Reese; Forbes and Shack are figuring it out and aren’t doing bad. Galin is a waste. Beetle has been a disappointment to me: he plays hard but he’s out of control and does nothing real well besides foul. Davis is a work in progress but shows some potential. That’s all we got right now.

Next year we add Q, Rojas, Hawkins and Ambrose to the mix. Hopefully Galin is shown the door, Beetle will be gone. We need more of everything.

I'm not saying it's right or that something shouldn't be done about it, but that stuff is for administrators to deal with.

Yeah, for most teams that play with that much pace you will have that issue until a coach gets a least one or two classes in

Mike had that issue at times and his best teams were always when we had at least two or three solid guys off the bench that could provide energy.

As I've said before, if Nate gets this 1st year bunch, who have lots of deficiencies, to the NCAA's, it would be an amazing achievement.

Just got a chance to watch the game and it's not as bad as it looked imo. Big losses happen on the road in the SEC, Miss St lost at our place by around 20 and so did Auburn, and they are both still likely gonna make the tourney, I think we will too. LSU was red hot, I think they only missed like three shots in the last 7 minutes and the whole game seemed to go that way really. They played probably their best game of the season, and we have played much better than we did tonight.

I still think we beat them at Coleman and that would be a huge, possibly tourney clinching win, as long as we take care of business the rest of the way against the teams we should beat.
