We desperately lack an interior force. Teams are killing us on the offensive glass lately.

Yea, I'm not sure what the adjustment will be there, but there's going to have to be something.

We’ve kinda lived off of long rebounds and swatting the ball out to the perimeter. When you miss too many shots and play a team with better athletes, that doesn’t fly

You should care. It's a conference team we play at least twice every year.

The best team I ever coached lost in the playoffs to a team that paid players to come to their school. It was not allowed in our conference. I had seniors that I had coached since 6th grade lose their last game to a team that cheated. We easily would have won the championship that year had it not been for that.

If LSU is buying players like it appears, it matters and should be dealt with. I have no idea if Watford is there for that reason but we sure could have used him tonight.

Well, I don't. It is what it is.

The circumstances are the circumstances and only loses make excuses. If every time the answer is "their roster is paid for" then the logical answer is just to stop watching the games, right? I mean unless you are going to somehow rectify this wrong.

If not, rosters are rosters. Ours needs to figure out how to win.

Can we all please talk abo it Galins FT attempt that missed wide right? That was the worst FT attempt I’ve ever seen

I have to admit, that was the only thing that made me laugh during the game. It was amazing

I've watched/played basketball for over 60 years, and I don't believe I've ever seen a FT attempted that poorly by anyone over the age of 10.

It was reminiscent of our place kickers coach.

Yea I mean I don't think we're gonna crumble in a typical Alabama mentally weak way.....I'm just concerned our guys bodies are giving out

Yeah, fair point. That is a major reason for concern.

Does anyone know how many guys we have playing substantial minutes now compared to Oats' Buffalo teams? I know we don't have much depth due to injuries and JQ being ruled ineligible.

Just wondering how short handed we are in comparison. I know Nate is not a miracle worker, but he has to have some plan in place to keep us from completely wearing ourselves out before March, right?

I can’t do anything with my left hand (my great basketball downfall) and I can shoot better than Galin with my left hand

We came out and got after it a little better in the 2nd half, which was encouraging.

Sadly, we were out-talented though.

I'm happy with the direction we're headed in, and this team would look and perform much better with a full roster for coach to work with this year.

Then you've never coached and cared about the kids you're coaching when youre trying to do things the right way. You've never had to explain to your players why their hard work wasn't good enough because someone went out and bought a championship.

Obviously, we need better players and need them to play well. Anyone with an IQ above 20 can see that. That's not an original thought.

I think you're the real loser here.

K

I've played as a kid/teen/young adult and coached kids my whole life. I can guarantee you my response to another team that was playing ineligible kids or screwing with birth certificates would not be to pat them on the head and let them know things were unfair.

And I say that as somewhere who has dealt with that 10+ different times across multiple sports both as a player and a dad.

The response is to get after their arse, whoever they are. Doesn't matter how they got there. They are lined up against you, take their arse to school.

Continually whining about stuff like that is lame, IMHO, both as a fan and as a player or coach involved.
