I was a student when our basketball coach was paid more than our football coach and people taunted us by calling us a basketball school

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but they full court pressed all night and we handled it well

This was the highest ranked team defeated in Coleman since 1994 when #1 Arkansas came to the Plaid Palace and Wimp barbecued a Hog.

Damn! No, it was Hobbs first season. Must have been right after Wimp got caught keeping the pimp hand skrong. It was Wimp’s roster of players though.

I think that might have been Hobbs.

We didn’t even play well tonight and still beat the #4 team by 20 points. I can’t wait until Oats gets his guys.

Let’s revisit this thought tomorrow and I know I’m going wet blanket here, but the game Saturday is the one typical Alabama loses. Get a big win, everyone patting you on the back, then you lay an absolute egg at home against an overmatched opponent. It’s got all the markings of a huge letdown spot. Hopefully Oats can have our guys be different.

Nate Oats: "It's the second game in a row that we've only got 21 threes up. That's not how we want to play."

I say we win easily Saturday and lay an egg at our house of horrors in Nashville next Wednesday.

Vandy is awful without Nesmith (and with him)

If we lose that game I'll be really really depressed

Being able to have success and build on it is, I hope, what will set Oats apart from his predecessors. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I wouldn't be surprised if your concerns hold true.

The thing is he's much more like Saban. We do what we do. We run our stuff. We play one way all the time (since we figured things out).

It's not dependent on a guy making shots or bringing our own energy. We just play hard and fast and in our system every second of every game. We might not play WELL, but we will not kind of slop around.
