Yep - woke up this morning hungover fron last night.
Still somewhat pleased on some aspects of last night. For one, I wouldn't have ever guessed tne team would be up 21 points on the road. Florida is overrated, but they're still a tough team. Petty continued to show why he's the best player on the team also. He made clutch shot after clutch shot. Also snagged seven rebounds. Herb was ome rebound shy of a double-double. You gotta think if Kira just has an average game, Alabama walks away with a W.
I wonder why we didn't see Jaylen Forbes?

I'm optimistic this team will win some big SEC games due to out hustling the other team.
I'm also aware that no matter whom their playing, when they build a huge lead, scoring drought is on the way, making for a tight finish, home team getting most of the calls last 10 minutes.
We were all hoping last night that this team with better coaching was gonna get that killer instinct, put their foot on the Gator's throat, keep the pressure going & have a statement win.
Much like D.Henry did in Foxborough last night. The beast was on the road, hostile territory, broke the Pat's will, wasn't gonna be denied victory.

Was there ever any explanation as to why Forbes didn’t play?

To open Sec play with a win on the road would of been huge.
To me it felt like the team turned a corner the last few games. Then yesterday happened.
I'm anxious to see how the team responds.

Still wanna cry. Kira has to get better, too many careless decisions. Physically he is more than good enough but mentally he is a midget right now.

Long term we're clearly on the right track with Oats.
Short term it was a disastrous choke job that ranks pretty high among the most agonizing losses I can recall.
Agree about our prospects at this point mainly coming down to Kira getting out of this funk or "sophomore slump" he's been in.

It is fairly clear to me that from game 1 to now, Bama is the most improved team.

Judging by his mom’s twitter, I think he comes by that naturally ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

If Forbes plays, I say we win that game. I want to know why he didn’t. I’m still pissed about that loss.

What has he done in any game that would lead you to believe he’s the difference maker? ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I don’t know about winning the game but Forbes does give solid minutes, has the ability to shoot, and has been playing better recently. But most important he would have gave some guys more rest if he could have given us 10-20 minutes yesterday.
Don’t know why he didn’t play but I trust Oats decision on it.

Don't think Forbes would have been the difference maker but certainly agree that he either had a nagging injury or Oats was teaching/sending him a message about something.
On another note, and this is a severe nitpick after all that went wrong in the last 4 minutes last night, but:
The next costly late game turnover I see from yet another lazy, lackadaisical perimeter pass to GALIN SMITH 40 FEET FROM THE BASKET to simply start the offensive set is when I join the broken TV club discussed a few pages back.

I hate when Kira drives and then just lazily lobs it to our inside guy for no reason. Drives me Insane

Yeah, he lobs a lot of passes that I wouldn't accept in pre-game warmup much less a game.
The specific one that kills me is, I think, by design, where the pass to the center out on the perimeter is what begins a set play but Kira constantly just lobs that without even looking to see if it's covered. It gets intercepted 2 times every single game -- usually in crunch time.
You think it would be abundantly clear by now that Galin's not going to come up with many passes that aren't right into his hands much less out-quick defenders on the perimeter to careless lobs.

I think we win the game because Forbes gives us another capable body out there. No, he wasn’t going to go off for 30 but we needed some more players in the rotation by the end. I think he could have given us enough quality minutes to allow us to win in regulation of OT #1

Yeah, it's a fair point about Petty, Herb and Kira playing 45+ minutes.
Forbes has certainly given us solid minutes off the bench lately.

24+ hours later and I’m still not over that shitshow/choke last night. The one consistent with this god forsaken program is the ability to snatch defeat from the most extreme likelihood of victory. I hate Alabama basketball. I really do.

I’m not gonna be over it until the next game.

In my will I have stipulated that I would like for the Alabama basketball head coach and starting 5 to be my pallbearers so they can let me down one last time.
