Nice, long preview of Bama this year. Sorry if already posted.
The margin of error in the SEC is thin enough a big year from Lewis could be enough to be the difference between 7-11 or 11-7. The latter gets you into the tournament, the former just means Oats and company probably have another year or two before he breaks through.

A heads up for those that may not be aware or don't already listen, but "The Bama Beat" Podcast has started up doing some basketball podcasts with Hunter Johnson and Cecil alongside the normal football podcasts. It's a good recap of the game and Hunter is my spirit animal.

Very short hightlights clip from the Ga Tech game. You guys may have already seen it, but it's the first video I've seen.

One of the first things that pops off the screen to me watching that clip is "Holy crap, Alabama has basketball players that actually look like basketball players". Total body transformations by the new S&C staff. Those needing to drop weight and lean up have, and those needing to add muscle have. Awesome!

Coach Ponytail's joke of an S&C program probably hastened Avery's exit. Had the team been conditioned well enough to not completely run out of gas in the final 1/3 of conference play every season we probably would have made the tournament one or two of the years we just missed it and Avery is not only still here, but probably gets an extension.

Most refreshing part of that video for me is seeing Nate Oats actually coaching players into position and not just clapping his hands like a jackass. Hopefully we've finally found a basketball coach instead of a glorified cheerleader

Didn't Oats say they might know by this friday about Quinerly? I read a break down of how the time table works somewhere, but I don't remember where.

Nate Oats replaces Avery Johnson as coach, but sophomore point guard Kira Lewis is the most important short-term member of this team. Lewis is my top nomination for a Ja Morant-type frosh-to-soph leap. With Lewis back (thanks in part to Oats convincing him), Alabama can realistically hope for the NCAAs in a season in which a new coach was hired, which is not normally the case.

Tomorrow is my birthday so I think that is probably the best day for us to win the appeal and get JQ eligible.

Hope with this ruling from the NCAA on player likeness that 2k brings back the best game in history.

I just bought NCAA Basketball 2009 for $10.

I never was a big fan of that game. Switching up the broadcast was fun, but felt like 2k overall was a better game.

I still have the 2K with Oden on the cover - every once in a while I get a hankerin' for it and play with the up to date rosters.
Dynasty mode is legit on that thing.
