he can be a very good catch and shoot player right now. What he will need to get better at is dribble drive and get the shot to go down. Most of his shots off the dribble drive dont have a prayer of going in. He did have one in the last game where he kept his eye on the goal after getting bumped a little and got it in.

You remember what he was saying when he signed? He wanted to be so good his freshman year that he would be a one and done.
If he becomes good enough he may not hang around for his Junior year.

Exactly, in the past, we could count on good Freshmen to digress.

He isn’t tall or athletic enough IMO to declare early for the NBA. He is a 4 year guy that is a damn good College Basketball player. He is our version of Bryce Brown IMO.

Bryan Passink: prognosticating and pontificating.
My bold & random predictions for the next decade:

•UA will go to the Final4 in men’s??

•Coach Saban will win 2 more titles

•Mario Cristobal will be our next HC

•MBHS will win a state title in girls??

•Michelle Obama will be President

•Antoine Pettway will be an SEC HC

Looking at the NET, I would guess we’re probably a bubble team as of now. I’d guess like the 10th team out or something. Plenty of time to keep climbing

Yeah Imma pass on Cristobal.

I would love to see Pett get a HC job. Just not Alabama in the next decade because I hope we are still rolling with Oats

They just aired a piece on Chris Stewart on ABC33/40 and Holy shite, I knew he was bad but not that bad.

He said he can vividly remember while he was in a coma one of the Dr. saying “ That’s it he’s gone, tell his family” and then a few seconds later saying “Wait, Not yet”

Holy shite. So glad he made it through and will be back Saturday.

Had Dazon stayed, how do you think he would have fit on this team? He does not have the quickness our guards do so would he have moved to the wing and split time with Petty and Herb?

The best thing he done was leave. One of the announcers said the other night that we score ten points more per game and basically have the same team as last year. First thing I thought of was we replaced Dazon with two scorers, beetle and shack

Their is a reason Oats didn’t try to get him out of the portal.

Beetle took Dazon spot

Shack took Jr. spot

Massive upgrade at both. I wish we could have kept Mack. He would have thrived here under Oats

Absolutely. He was the opposite of quick and this full court style of play would have done him no favors. I was trying to imagine rotations with him and didnt see much. I think Tevin would have contributed though.

Mack is perfect for this system and I knew it when he announced he was transferring to Clemson. I wished he would have. He would have given us extra length when we go small

I'm happy with the tradeoff. Mack would presumably be taking a lot of Shack's minutes. Imo Shack as a freshman is better than Mack is as a senior.

I'm going to disagree about Dazon. He would have been great under Oats. The people that didn't like him are the same people that didn't want Petty to come back.
