Patrick Beilein just resigned as HC at Niagara.
The timing of this sure makes you think that something bad is about to come out

It was for personal reasons and his dad tweeted that he and his wife would do everything they could to help their son.
So, yea, obviously not good.

“Personal reasons I can no longer take lightly”
If it isn’t some type of medical reason...

Opening night also gives us Wisconsin vs. Saint Mary's, Georgia Tech at NC State, Penn at Alabama and a good mid-major matchup with Northern Iowa hosting Old Dominion

That can't be right
Edit : It is right, WTF? Every ACC team is playing 1 conference game on Nov 5/6 besides Duke who is playing in the Champions Classic.
That's wild.

Rumor is he made passes at a direct subordinate director of basketball ops. Subordinate supposedly was dating an asst mbb coach.... Oh and his wife I guess is pregnant
Supposedly she retired sexual harassment and hired a lawyer

The other rumor is Beilein just had back surgery and is now battling drug addiction. Either way, it's a shame b/c he was on my list of up and coming young coaches (Before Oats was hired, I was outspoken on Bama giving him and Steve Forbes a look).

Something like that happened to my High School Basketball Coach. Broke his hand punching the chalkboard at halftime of a game and ended up getting addicted to pills because of it. He had to resign the next year.

Matt Norlander ranked the top 101 players in the country

34. Kira Lewis, Alabama: The Crimson Tide sophomore is this year's player most likely yo have a Ja Morant-esque pop. He's young — still only 18, despite being a sophomore — and averaged 13.5 points, but since Alabama wasn't nationally relevant, most don't know of Lewis. He should shine for a Crimson Tide team that I expect to make it into the field of 68. If he's largely responsible for a resurgence, he'll be a lottery pick. — MN

Really blows that there's not been an answer on Quinerly yet. Either he's cleared or not, but let the school know.

Alabama coach @nate_oats says there is no word on transfer waiver for Jahvon Quinerly and he does not expect Quinerly to scrimmage vs. Georgia Tech on Sunday. “Beyond that, we don’t know,” Oats said. “We’re waiting on the NCAA.”

There should be a deadline for the NCAA to announce whether a player is granted their eligibility. Kind of ridiculous to drag it out this long because it is affects practice.

Nate Oats (@nate_oats) does not expect to receive an answer from the NCAA before the end of the day, meaning Quinerly likely will not play in the scrimmage Sunday.
