Did you say he would lead the team in 3s made too? I'm happy to share the island of shame with you

An early season loss to a mid-major who was supposed to be pretty decent but actually turns out to be absolute garbage is a time honored Alabama basketball tradition.

All we had to do was make two free throws

If Rojas and Gary were healthy Reese and Galins arse would be plopped down on the bench

I thought Reese would be better than he's been too. But, I tend to overestimate the talent on our team because they're our guys.

I still want to think everyone is still learning their roles and how they can fit into this style and team. I think Oats may be also learning what his guys can and can't do. Herb and Petty can both be good players, but neither of them need to be dribbling into traffic. It seems like Petty may be getting away from that. Hopefully, we can drop this idea that Herb is a point forward too.

Jesus, just cut down on the turnovers and we would look light-years better.

And we constantly dribble ourselves in to compromising positions where we are forced to make a risky pass

And I agree, I think we have improved in a lot of areas but the fricking turnovers are holding us back

My hope is for Beetle to get healthy so he can find his rhythm and be a second option for ball handling

Another stat to note is that we've out-rebounded every team we've played. A lot of people were worried about the rebounding going into this year. But, this style of play leads to long rebounds where quickness wins over size and strength.

Yep which is why Coach challenged the guards before the season. I noticed Shackleford in the paint hunting for boards several times tonight.

I get home from the game so hoarse from yelling at the refs and encouraging the team and I read this BS. Not many people were there. After this game they will start to come back, I hope. But this board is a bunch of negative Nancys. Support the team. The players are who they are and our new coach will make a difference but he is not a miracle worker. A lot of us were very LOUD in our support tonight. Come join us or just drown yourselves in your own tears. Sheesh give this team of young men a break, please. Sorry about the rant. I came home excited and happy to read this whatever it is get angry at a bunch of FOGs. Good night.

Cecil tweeted that Oats said he wanted to sign 2 more players during the late signing period: a combo guard and an inside 4/5 player.

Didn't mention any candidates and said they were looking all over to find them. Now I ask you how he's fitting those guys on the roster? I thought we only had a couple of slots open and Ambrose-Hylton got one of those. Is someone going to be politely shown the door during the off season?

Inquiring minds want to know

I imagine so if we get those targets. Even Duke has transfers. I'm glad Oats didn't mention names, he's no Juwan Howard.

Oats has lots of wiggle room if he needs to cull players on this roster. Fact is he must cull if he is to get away from the funk the program has lived for many years.

Im sure Raymond would be one you could politely ask to leave. The walk-ons play before him lol. Then you know there’s always a transfer or two.

Yep, sure am. No regrets, either.

Well most of us found a way to stream a game on an app against a mid-major opponent last night, so I'd qualify that as supporting the team.

Has anybody in this thread said Oats is the problem?

Well, I live in Atlanta, so it might be a rough day at the office the next morning if I got in from Tuscaloosa at 3 AM.

It would be strange for FOGs to consistently post in a basketball thread for half a decade.
