I think Ty will declare because he’s mocked as high as top 10 by some analysts. I also think the staff will somewhat encourage him to go to give Russell a shot at starting.

That said, I don’t know how y’all watch today’s game and come away primarily worried about the QB. Milroe was so bad that we coped hard last season that just changing the QB would solve everything.

The reality is the program under DeBoer has deep problems that have only been masked by the brief period in the middle third of the season where Simpson was playing at an NFL level.

He is not the guy but neither is grubb at OC. Tired of this lousy and lazy offense

Ty is at worst and early 2nd round QB in this draft. He should go get paid.

Lol, he ain’t. What about this guy’s performances scream 1st round or early second?
Is it the quick decisions on pass plays? His exceptional pocket awareness? Quick release? His exceptional security of the ball?
His calm, cool demeanor under pressure?
He has none (0) of those.

He literally had to qb an entire season with ZERO running game. Tell me one qb in the country who could succeed under those conditions.

Some of this is on him.

"Some"? As it pertains to the running game how is "some" of it his fault?

Because of his inability to stretch the field. It allows the defense to stack the box.

The box is stacked because defenses like the odds he’s not beating them deep. There’s also a good chance he’ll get hit and fumble.

In the 1st half, he had Cuevas open 20 yards over the middle of the field but panicked and ran out of the pocket too soon.

I stated after the FSU game that I thought Ty was a serviceable quarterback if we had the right parts around him, but I thought we needed more from the position for this team if we wanted a shot to win a title. Anyone with eyes should be able to see that both of these young guys have way higher upsides than Ty. Put Ty on some of the early Saban teams and he’d win

IMO he declares. Hopefully we can keep KR, and start Mack since he seems to know the system, according to the staff.

But this is not an early Saban team. It’s an offense where the QB must make plays.

See I don’t agree with y’all because I do not believe any NFL GM is going to look at film like today’s game or Georgia or the 1st Q in Norman and say “Ohhh we gotta have this guy!”. I do not see it, no!
I think he comes back because he’s not getting a high draft grade.

We couldnt run the ball when the defense had 5 in the box. The problem was the OL inability to keep linemen from penatrating and when they could get bodies on them they couldnt move them. Teams were stopping our run game with less than 7 in the box consistently. Not because Ty couldnt throw it deep. Hell, he rarely had time in the pocket to throw it deep.

The better question is why should a franchise use a 1st round pick on Ty?

Mel Kiper has him as the 3rd highest quarterback on the board. He doesn’t speak for NFL GMs, but he has a pretty good history at ranking players where he thinks they’ll go

I wish him well but we need to move on. If he takes a bag at Miami or elsewhere I won’t begrudge him but his stock is unlikely to improve in a deeper qb class in 27. Regardless, it’s time for CKD to get his guy at the position rather than a Saban holdover.

That means ZERO. Where did Kiper have Milroe? Also is this a recent eval or from midseason.

Even Saban didn't want to play him and he recruited him.

Dummies were claiming Milroe was blackmailing the literal greatest coach of all time instead of realizing that coach saw Buchner and Ty and said "Nope!". When the fans and media threw a fit he threw both out there against USF to stink it up.

In the end this was Saban's fault. He's the one that checked off on signing Milroe then Ty. He is also the one that hired BOB and his idiot buddy which started our implosion at OL and QB development.
