What does bad mean? Bad because our starting QB that will be a 1st round draft pick is injuries or bad and it’s going to take a long time for him to recover?

Yea I agree.. is it a bad sprain or moderate. Why can't we get an actual answer.

who do you expect to give us fans an actual answer. NS wont as he does not want to tell LSU or anyone the answer. We don't deserve to know chit. And I doubt any reporter is going to get a full scoop unless a family member talks and I doubt that happens.

Been working on my sauce all day his exact reply no paraphrasing:

“ It is bad. I think he’ll play but it’s going to be really close. No way he’s close to 100 percent.”

It just seems weird. He didn’t look like he was that hurt. He went got up and didn’t limp. Played a little more before the timeout. Just a really weird situation and injury.

The optimist in me says I’m sure it was a bad sprain and more than likely he could have played through it but the powers that be decided to pull him and schedule this procedure just to make sure he can make it through the meat of our schedule.

Then the pessimist in me says “we fuk’d”

Definitely hoping for the best!!

75% Tua is still pretty good. Just means everyone including the coaches gotta step up 11/09

How do y’all Bama fans feel about this?

Watching the graphics that have been released this seems like a pretty severe treatment for something that usually heals in like 4-6 weeks by itself.

Not to mention I’m guessing Tua will be drowning in pain meds if he plays like that. I feel for him, and that’s not sarcasm at all.

I’d be happy with a 75% Tua....

We have had half a dozen guys go through this treatment the last few years. They’ve all done very well and it cuts recovery time almost in half (3 weeks instead of 5-6.) Not to mention, it supposedly makes that ankle impossible to sprain ever again. In the long run, this is good for Tua’s career.

Right, I guess I’m not asking about the procedure itself, more the fact that they are going to play him so soon after having holes drilled in his leg and a wire put through them. They may say the recovery time is 3 weeks, but watching those graphics there is no way he won’t be in extreme pain even after 3 weeks.

The way the doctors behind it talk about the surgery it almost sounds like you should get that surgery as an athlete before you ever even have an ankle injury.

Yeah I get it, but these guys know what they’re doing. Cam Robinson played against LSU 2 weeks after the same procedure a few years ago. Tua was looking good in practice 2 weeks post last year and looked amazing against OU 3-4 weeks later.

75% Tua may not be good enough to bear LSU

75% Tua and a defense that is getting abused won’t get it done. A LOT of people will have to step up their game to pull off the defeat of LSU this season.

4 weeks is the heal time WITH the surgery. On it's own, a high ankle sprain takes multiple months to recover from.

You see tales, nothing to worry about. You are in good shape for 11/09, because it will be 3 weeks.
