Haven't read all the replies, but I was told the meeting was called by the seniors, and they wanted to make sure any players planning to sit out the bowl game to announce so soon so they can adequately prepare for the bowl game. Seniors don't want to go out on a loss.

Probably. Smith, Waddle and Ruggs were balling. Jeudy was going through the motions.
