I don’t like this at all. Auburn would have a field day paying players.

That's insane. A school invests 2 years in developing a player so he can just go play immediately for their rival?

Yeah I'm mixed on this. It's great for the players, but not for most schools. It'd be great for us though as we could poach anyone that shines at small schools, but we'd lose some guys who could go get instant PT instead of staying and developing.

Another step closer to being minor league football....

This will lead to players getting paid the big bucks for performing well as freshmen and sophomores no doubt.

I think this is a terrible idea. Its another lazy narrative that sounds great in theory but just opens up more problems for the sport if implicated.

I suppose that conferences could implement their own rules about transfers from one school to another. I think that would be good.

That's really tough because, like, you have to click and read it.

It's got nothing to do with the fricking article. I swear you have the worst reading comprehension on this board.

This will not last long, teams like Bama and Ohio St could lose half their roster in a off season.

There are few posters on the Rant that I don't like to read because they irritate or bore me so I just don't read their posts. Amazing concept, I know, but it works.

I posted the article for those who may be interested. Whether you like it or notm or the way I posted it didn't even occur to me.

To be irritated by my opinions, you sure do perpetuate the discussion of them.

What do you think about it?

I think the 25 scholarship rule might would have to be changed. Keep the 85 rule, but allow whatever number the next recruiting class to make up for what you lost.
