LOOKING AHEAD: 6 Alabama players projected first round for 2023 NFL draft

I noticed they had Gibbs as one of the 6. Wouldn't Ricks be draft eligible too? Is he not projected as a first round pick?

Not at this point. He missed most of last year with an injury and it would be hard to project him a 1st round pick just off of his freshman season.

By the end of the year I would bet him and Burton are possible first round picks. I think Burton is going to have a monster year. He had 30 catches last year, out of 30 targets. Dude just needs someone to throw to him.

11 invited in a down year is very good. Bolden and Ray included. Good sign for them.

I believe you may well be incorrect with this.

DRAFT STOCK: WR John Metchie III moves into first-round conversation
quote:

Luke Easterling of The Draft Wire predicts Metchie will be drafted No. 49 overall by the New Orleans Saints.

Metchie’s spot at No. 49 overall is close to the first round, but not quite there yet. Other mock drafts have begun moving the former Alabama wide receiver into the first round.

Zack Patraw of Sports Illustrated and Mike Mulhern of NBC Sports Philadelphia both have Metchie being drafted at No. 32 overall.

Jameson Williams may be drafted to an already Alabama-centered NFL offense

In the latest 2022 NFL mock draft done by USA TODAY’s Nate Davis, Williams is projected to be drafted at No. 22 overall by the New England Patriots.
quote:

Davis writes,
“No reason to waste (more) time before remedying 2019’s first-round mistake with WR N’Keal Harry. Williams might be a top-10 pick had he not torn an ACL in the national championship loss to Georgia. He’s a burner who was remarkably productive in 2021, averaging 100 receiving yards and a TD catch per game. The Ohio State transfer didn’t play with Pats QB Mac Jones in Tuscaloosa, but – as soon as he’s healthy – he has the goods to develop into the dominant target this team has long lacked.”
