Bob sucked so bad he is at the top in his profession again with arguably the best coach ever in the NFL.

Same guy hired a defensive coordinator to run his offense last season.

You could literally tell Houston Texans fans the same damn thing when Saban hired him.

Saban hired Major Applewhite what’s your point?

What's your point about BO'B?

He gone. Good riddance.

Let it go. Move on.

Be optimistic about Tommy Rees.

I'm pretty sure I recall Rees being brought up as a candidate for a position at Alabama before. Not sure which one or when.

I’m specifically questioning the timing that was stated in the article. End of regular season 2019. Maybe Sark requested a QB coach?

I think it stops the oc turnstile for several years and hope he follows the kirby blueprint of waiting for a plum job like hc at nd

AL.com has yet to even mention the new OC hire. F'ing AU rag. They are so obvious.......Decatur Daily barely mentioned when Bama beat the #1 teams in basketball and it wasn't on the front page. When Bama lost last week. It was the headline story and they put it in color pics. The media in this state is bought and paid for by the barn.

I'm pretty happy with it to be honest. Not at all what I expected from an OC standpoint but he uses pistol, shotgun, and your traditional TE heavy sets. It's a good mix of personnel

I agree 100% I didn’t even have him on my radar. I also didn’t have Daboll, Locksley, or McElwain on my radar and all 3 won NCs for us.

Locksley didn't, he contributed to the 2018 fiasco vs Clemson, his only season as OC. He surely exited the program in the right way, unlike Smart and Pruitt, and has maintained good relations since. I pull for him.

He was co/oc in 2017. He called all of the QB run plays. He also won the Broyles in 2018

Finebaum said Rees was like Saban’s 4th option. LOL, Finebaum is such an arse.

What Nick Saban's coordinator hires mean for Alabama in 2023 (ESPN)

Some Bama fans have grumbled about the new leaders of the team's offense and defense. But suggest the Tide's leader has lost his fastball at your own risk.

Damnit Surge, I clicked on every thread to see if there was new info and it was just you posting the same article in each one!

I didn't create any of the many threads about our new coordinators.

ETA: We'd have even more if TideSaint hadn't created the pinned OC & DC threads. And, that article is well worth reading, imo.
