That is no surprise, they are a TERRIBLE free throw shooting team. I've never figure out why people can't shoot free throws. Easiest shoot in the game. They must not practice shooting free throws much.
My high school coach wouldn't let us leave practice unless every one on the team hit at least 8 of 10 free throws at the end of practice.

Really hope this isn't an issue next year.

If we fix that and rebounding, the two key fundamentals of winning in basketball, and we are sitting on 24 wins right now

Solid first year Coach Avery! The real trick is going to be whether or not he can build on it.

He can. We have to fix the little things in the off season. Rebounding and free throw shooting. If we can stay healthy we can be a 22-23 win team easy next year.

Didn't even read the stat line until now, but Bama was 12-24 from beyond the arc

I took Ole Miss -3. I just don't think we have it in us to win tonight.
I'm taking Kentucky -12.
I'm going to buy us an SECT Championship and a ticket to the big dance.

Does anyone know how next year's schedule is shaping up?

Regular season champions that do not win their conference tournament get an automatic bid to the NIT. This season so far, Belmont, Bucknell, High Point, Hofstra, IPFW, Monmouth, North Florida, UAB, Valparaiso and Wagner have automatic bids to the NIT.

St. Mary's has an auto bid to the NIT too, although they'd be in anyway of they don't make the dance.

I know we definitely play at Oregon, get Clemson at home, and I think we have Dayton at home too.

NIT haha. Great season by this team, I love the group, but I'm not going to sit around and watch a tournament that decides who the 65th best team in the country is.

Has Avery Johnson already won more SEC tournament games then Grant did? I don't recall Grant winning a game in the tournament.
