I hope you are right but we lost a ton of production last year from Retin
Retin was a role player going into last year. He played well in Avery's system, but I think we have several guys that are very capable of picking up his slack.

Looks like we are a 12 point favorite for tomorrow

I'm not understanding some of the concerns some of you guys have. This yrs team will be a lot better than last years team! Yeah, we lost Retin but gained Ingram, davis, key, bola, and collins. We depended on retin way too much to score last year and that actually hurt us ag times cause at the end of the close games teams knew who we were going to and they were all over him making it hard just to get a shot off. This yr we have 4 guys that are capable of putting up 15 points any night. We are by far deeper than last yr,which is huge! Added a rebounder, our biggest weakness. So to sum it up, much more scorers to where teams can't just focus on shutting down retin like last year. Bola and key will help our rebounding quite a bit, and much deeper so when taylor and hall pick up 3 fouls in 2 minutes we can put in other equally good players in. I'm telling barring injury this will be a ncaa tournament team. Dazon is heck of a player at everything except a consistent outside shot, davis is capable of scoring 2o plus points a game some nights( can hit 5 3's in a row, then miss 5 in a row, can also run the floor and finish. Key will shock some of you guys, he's a 10 to 12 point a game 5 or 6 rebs, and 4 or 5 assists a game guy. He will be starting by SEC schedule if not really soon. Bola can give us atleast 6 to 8 points and 6 to 8 rebounds a game. I haven't seen enough of collins yet to make an assessment on him. The only thing is that our out of conference schedule is harder this yr, but we will definitely win more SEC games yhan last yr. I see us as a 10 or 12 seed tournament team.

Lol! So what's your take busey? What are your concerns? I'm not being a smart tail, I thought your post was funny. Lol You really can't see that we got better this offseason, and if not why?

And I don't drink, wish I could at times though!lol I have stomach ulcers and kidney problems, so I quit drinking when I was like 22 or so and barely got drunk then. Alcohol is not my thing, never did like waking up and not knowing what or who you did!lol

I have a question...when will we be ranked? before or after we beat Oregon? We'd be 7-0 and win wins over Dayton, Valpo, Texas.

Here's some info on our opponents tonight:
They finished 21-12 last year and were picked to finish fifth in their first season in the Sun Belt.
Their best player is a guard Elijah Wilson. He was preseason second team all Sun Belt and led them in scoring last year with 13.7 ppg.
Their only other returning starter is Jaylen Shaw, and Colton Ray-St Cyr started half of their games last year.
Location: Conway, SC - inland from Myrtle Beach
Enrollment: 10,263 with about 50% being from South Carolina.
They will join FBS in football next season.
Their nickname is the Chanticleers which is a "proud and fierce rooster"

Hopefully there's a good turn out, even if it's only against Coastal. Would definitely go if I was in town
