I firmly believe if you finish in the top 5 of the sec you will make the sweet 16 or better.

This could possibly be the most stacked ive ever saw this conference.

Looking at KenPom and Our schedule is tough. It ain’t as tough as 2 years ago or even last year but it’s still really tough.

Ohio State
Oregon
Clemson
Arizona
Purdue
Creighton
Liberty.

Holy shite. I will gladly take 4-3 in these 7 games.

Five-star forward Asa Newell is in decision making mode after completing visits

Asa Newell, the No. 13 overall recruit in the 2024 class, is now in decision making mode after completing his visits. He broke it all down with 247Sports.

Asa Newell, the No. 13 overall recruit in the 2024 class, is now in decision making mode after completing his visits to Alabama, Georgia, Gonzaga and Texas.

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward out of Montverde (Fla.) Academy recapped his visits with 247Sports and discussed the timeframe for a decision that could seemingly come any day.

Alabama: "Alabama was great. Coach Nate Oats runs an NBA system. A lot of people really like his play-style. They play fast and what they did with Noah Clowney. He went high in the first round and he wasn't really on any draft boards so seeing that and what they did with Brandon Miller. The Alabama brand now is just really big now. Coach Oats brought back Alabama basketball so it was good to see."

Georgia: "Georgia was a great visit. It was good to see my brother and to be back home in the 706. the coaches had a really good player-development plan for me. I watched practice, they were telling me how they were going to play fast and coach Mike White promised me that he is changing the way he is coaching...He feels like he has the green light to play fast, play in transition...They showed me clips of how versatile and I am versatile and of the play-style so it was good to see."

Gonzaga: "They were telling me how bad they want me, like really bad. They are saying they will do whatever it takes to get me because of how far it is. They don't really take east coast guys and they said they have an open position for me with Anton [Watson] leaving. They say it's perfect for me and they really want me to play the point forward position for them."

Texas: "Texas, Austin is just crazy. They really wow'd me with the facilities and what they have planned for me. They had a good player development guy and Cory is the strength and conditioning coach so KD [Kevin Durant] comes back all of the time because that's his main guy so it was really good to see how big Cory is with the players."

After completing visits to each of his finalists, Newell said he is done taking visits and preparing to make a decision.

"It's decision time," he said. "I feel it coming, for sure. I just really am praying to God, whenever God tells me and I feel at peace with it, that's when I will make the decision and the decision will be soon. I don't want to plan any dates because in the summer, I wanted to make a decision earlier and it's just God's timing."

While we all await Newell's decision, he shared what the deciding factor will be in his decision.

"I would say the right fit and a place I can make a legacy at," he said.

That doesn't leave me with a whole lot of confidence, since that's probably UGA's only selling point.

Well we aren't Kentucky, and this isn't football. There's plenty of room for basketball legacy at Alabama. I'm still not gonna get my hopes too high, but I'm also not gonna read too deep into that quote either.

That's a weird quote at the end, since Rylan has nothing to do with Stevenson's minutes or production.

Same. Class is going from pie in the sky to maybe 2 guys in a hurry. Granted, 2 5*s is 2 5*s, but if a coach who has run 3 different programs the exact same way over 10+ years as a HC is fricking promising you he's going to change the way the team plays and you buy it, jokes on you because that shite isn't going to actually happen.

So who can we still land that would make this class not seem disappointing compared to what we thought it would be when we landed Sherrell?
