Why he chose Michigan was probably was more about academics and or being closer to home. He probably wasnt gonna start wherever he went unless he transferred to a smaller school than Alabama or Michigan.

NCAA has hit former Creighton assistant Preston Murphy with a 2-year show cause. There was no proof he kept any money. In fact, Christian Dawkins said Murphy didn’t keep the money, Murphy also passed a lie detector test, and handed over bank records, cell phones, credit report
Wow. Sounds like he got railroaded

Sit down and talk off or on the record with any player who Preston Murphy recruited or coached at Creighton and you’ll walk away without ever hearing a bad word about the man. He deserves to be in the gym and on the sidelines again.
But also this. Sounds like a good hire

Seems like a decent replacement for Hodgson

I didn’t see anything on Twitter about it but did see Oats and his wife follow him on there.

So the Rhode Island hint that Andrew Slater threw out there was probably this guy and not EC Matthews. This guy was on the staff when EC Matthews was at Rhode Island.

The hint would make sense to all be for him. Born in Michigan and played/coached at RI.

Anyone hear we are getting Roy Rogers too?

Last 3 head coaches results for each school:
GA Southern: 1 coach took James Madison head coach, 2 were fired/resigned
Kennesaw St: 1 took South FL head coach, 2 were fired/resigned
Arkansas St: 1 took North Texas head coach, 2 were fired/resigned
That covers the last 20ish years for all 3 programs (Kennesaw St was D2 prior to that).
All 3 of our assistants would have been making in the $500k region after new contracts. To take 20-40% less at schools not known for success for the head coaches, all at the same time, is either coincidental (possibly due to Bama’s success last year) or there was more than just wanting an opportunity to run their own program.
Clearly you think any D1 head coaching job is a step up. I’m not in the camp that any head coaching job is better than being a half mil per year P6 assistant, and worry that at least some part of it was tied to wanting to leave. We’ll never know how much weighting was due to opportunity vs. wanting to leave, so arguing it is pointless. Hope all 3 are successful and go on to bigger and better things!

Assistant coaches want to be head coaches. Unless it’s an older guy like an Asbury situation. And even he ended up back at Pepperdine I think. Most coaches in general, especially young guys, are egotistical enough to think they can win. Anywhere. Regardless of history. I’m mystified why you guys are shocked they took head coaching jobs.

Whittle has been on a roll the last two days. Breaking news only to have to unbreak it a couple hours later.

Rylan got back on IG live today and clarified what was true and not

The only thing true was Griffin and Burnett said Colman is one of the worst basketball gyms in the country. Also he said pringle dominated in practice and should've played more. I ask him on his live if he was coming back and he said he was, and that an auburn fan started all the rumors. Even Brandon was commenting on his live and laughing at the trolls spreading lies.
Cant blame them for telling the truth about Coleman

Im all for Pringle playing more, but he would have been in foul trouble if he had played more due to his defensive play. Maybe that would have gotten better with more play, though. He is a freak athlete, and would be a rebounding demon if he played enough.

Apparently deleted because it’s not suppose to leak yet. Done deal, though. Roy Rodgers is the other name. This is all according to BOL.
