Ware fits that bill, but I'm sure he's headed to Fayetteville.

He hasn't heard from Arkansas? Is that a first on a transfer since Musselman has been there?

I hope we can get Nate Calmese on campus for a visit or Coach Oats do a home visit with him and his family. He has major upside as both a point guard and a shooting guard.

Traore is a guy that could be really good after a few years, but wouldn’t count on him doing much early on. He was a 5* based pretty much solely on potential. Hasn’t played basketball that long and in basically every game he played in (other than the middle school kids we played in Israel) he was completely lost both offensively and defensively. Game was moving WAY too fast for him. But the athletic tools are all there once he gets a grasp on playing at this level. Was a really bad 3 pt shooter but his stroke actually looked good so likely another aspect of the game moving too quickly. If a coach is willing to be patient with him (and he’s also willing to be patient) he could be a really good pickup.

I don't know. I trust our staff's evaluation. Plus, turning him into a star here would be SO much fun.

In the 120 minutes he played from dec 10th to the end of the season he scored 18 total points and had 11 total rebounds. Seems like a bust to me. Shot 19% from three. I dont see the appeal.

If the guy couldn’t get on the floor with this Auburn team I just don’t think he is that good. They had 3 guys foul out vs us and he still didn’t see the floor.

I don’t like taking developmental guys from the portal.

I mean we already have Walters and Dioubete at forward who may both be good from day one or they may be projects, we arent 100% sure Walton is gonna be eligible. Id rather get a proven guy than go in with two true freshman, a sophomore project, and Walton who may need a waiver to play.

If they’re 100 sure Walton will be eligible then I guess I could see it. They seemed 100% sure Quinerly was gonna get a waiver too til he didnt though.

Ill be surprised if we do sign Traore but I trust Oats and Pettway.

I preface that by saying I think Walters and Dioubete are underrated and will be very good from year 1 and that Walton should be eligible and should be a stud in our system, he is a perfect fit.

I think to be reaching out to someone like Traore who is a project but potentially has a very high upside you have to feel good about what you already have at forward and the staff probably does.

Made Hunter Sallis's top 12 in HS. We definitely have a thing for underperforming top HS guys. Ware and Traore. Nimari and JQ fit that bill too. Maybe someone to keep an eye on.

Also the Whittle dude seems very confident Ware being Bama bound is a very strong possibility. Would be the perfect Clowney replacement.

We recruited Sallis out of High School.

ETA my bad I thought you said we made his top 12 out of the portal.

I had Miami playing Bama in my bracket. But I don’t really believe they can beat UConn right now.

I’m just pulling for Miami for my bracket and that’s the only reason.

Watching Caitlin Clark and Iowa win has me thinking we should have let Brandon Miller shoot 31 times. Seems to be working for Iowa.

If Miamis center can stay out of foul trouble they have a shot. Their guards are very good.

Whittle knows a thing or two. He's LEGIT.

He forecast...
Colby Jones was coming to Alabama last year but he ultimately stayed at Xavier

He even mentioned Sears coming to Alabama before anybody.

He's most definitely trustworthy.
