Anyone doubting Burnetts shooting ability because of his percentages at Texas Tech should watch this highlight video, he has potential to be an elite shooter. Texas Tech must not have been a good fit, because Burnett is a stud. I have no doubt that he would thrive in our system and be another JQ like success story.

Transfers usually don't do live announcements so I doubt it. Haven't heard anything about one.

When Burnett talks about what system he wants to play in he describes us basically, he also seems like he is willing to do the hard hat stuff it's gonna take to be a really good player.

I dont get the recruitment of Gurley really, he has the same body type as KAH and Lanston Wilson, seems like they may not think either one of those two guys will be ready to contribute a lot next year if we are really heavily recruiting Gurley.
I do like Gurley a lot and if we can get him without anyone else transferring I think it would be awesome.

I sure don't expect Wilson to be ready to having contribute. KAH, sure, he should be ready to at least play backup minutes. But with how little he played, I'm not expecting him to play 20+ a night.

I'll go with the simplest answer here:
Gurley could play as a "big" (4 and some 5) for us, and they probably think he's an upgrade on some of our options there.
They presumably think we have a legitimate chance next year, and a guy like him could be a difference maker.
Tchikou is coming off a bad injury, KAH didn't play AT ALL last year (like the least of any of our scholarship players), Wilson is a bit raw, Bediako is a true freshman, etc.

He did that as a recruit too which is why everyone was surprised that he chose Texas Tech of all places.
