I was hoping Nola would go higher, but not surprised. As someone who spent 15+years in Orlando and went to their first NBA Finals game... frick the Magic. They'll frick it up.

If we land him, I believe he was #2 on the big board all along right behind Sears.

Definitely not. Bridges was no higher than 4th.

1. Sears
2. Our next commit
3. The overlooked walk-on who gets our last scholarship
4. Bridges

Bridges didn't have a commitable offer.

It was an SOL Exclusive report. Can't link it bc it's a paysite. But I think somebody here can get you a subscription.

Welch is 23 and will be 24 in August.
JQ is 23 and will be 24 in November.
Gurley is 22 and will be 23 in August.

Welch has played in 110 games and started 105.
JQ has played in 88 games and started 34.
Gurley has played in 121 games and started 97.

Welch and Gurley would provide a lot of experience having over 200 combined collegiate starts. It looks like Welch would be a really good fit so I hope we can get him.

Welch is also coming from an A-10 that has been about as deep as a mid-major conference can get in recent years. You always have to question how a guy will handle going from a mid-major conference to a P-6 conference, but it's much less of a concern when he's coming from somewhere like the A-10 or MWC.

Plus he’s coming from a really good/respected coach. I’m all in on him which means he’s definitely going elsewhere.

Great spin on Bridges. These web sites don't usually know any more than we hapless posters.

If Baylor offered, I would be wiling to bet we did.

Hope Welch is all that we get him but I remember how everyone gushed over Gurley.

Our referenced big board is all tongue in cheek. We are trying to spin positivity because this thread needs it.

Welch would be solid.

His point totals against Power Conference team/NCAA tournament teams:

Xavier-25pts
Virginia- 10pts
Oklahoma- 10pts
Colorado-12pts
Davidson-18pts
VaTech- 11pts
UConn-15pts
Clemson- 9pts
Boise State- 12pts

Dude has proven he can play against top competition and shoots 38% from 3. I want.
