I’m from the Mobile area and I’ve seen South play a good bit. They have a good head coach in Riley and are bringing in some talented transfers, could easily be a trap game but I love scheduling a good instate team like this.

Interesting comparison to think about if we end up getting Nimari Burnett

Jahvon Quinerly

- McDonald's All American
- 9.1 MPG
- 33.7% FG
- 25.0% 3P
- 73.3% FT

That’d be 3 former McDonald’s All Americans in the backcourt. Not bad

I’ll be thrilled if we get Burnett. I really wanted the dude last year and based on everything he said during his recruitment, I was pretty surprised he signed with Tech. I’ll be 100% satisfied with Burnett and Bediako to finish this class, even if it means we leave Gurley outside.
We’ll have a good combination of talent, experience, and depth and be a very dangerous team. I think that roster could challenge anybody in the country athletically.
Can we start playing in May?

I think we will need 15,000 seats next season.

If Burnett signs, Bama will have four 5-Stars on the roster, plus Bediako, who was 1 spot away. That’s incredible.

I’ve been watching some of his highlights he is very good at poking the ball away...very similar to Ellis. And I think Oats will develop his shot. I’m hopeful we get a waiver.

I’m not even kidding when I say our 2nd 5 next year could be a bubble team and I think would beat any of Avery’s teams

who needs a waiver? apologies, I didn't follow that.

He will get a waiver, you are allowed to transfer this season without sitting out.

Honestly I agree. I think we get both Burnett and Gurley so our 2nd unit may be JQ/Burnett/Ellis/Gary/Bediako.

At this point, I would prefer keeping KAH and Miles over adding Gurley. He seems like a great ball player, but I’d rather not blow up a young nucleus for a Hail Mary next year. We will be talented and deep already, so another transfer isn’t even guaranteed a starting spot. It’s a good problem to have, but eventually you have to turn some guys away to keep the program healthy down the road.
If we didn’t make a deep run next year and lost a few young guys to boot, it would be a disaster the following season or two. Talent won’t be an issue next year, but experience would be hard to find in years 4 and 5 if we started losing guys to take experienced transfers right now.

I don't think KAH goes anywhere, he was Bediako's teammate and probably a main reason we got him. Don't see Miles going anywhere either. Really cant see anyone the staff encouraging anyone to transfer out right now other than Rojas, so I think we only add one more player.

If we take Gurley with Burnett, who do you think the other transfer is between KAH, Miles and Gary?
Sadly, my money is on Gary. Would love to see him keep improving and stay.

No fricking way Gary leaves. He was a major contributor down the stretch and plays pretty great defense and Rebounds his arse off. Does all the Blue Collar stuff We Want.
Needs to improve his shot but his stroke looks good(unlike Herb and Herb turned into at least respectable).

Saw a draft thing on Al.com and had none of our guys going first round. One going mid second.
Best of memory very few second rounders make an NBA team first year and are relegated to NBDL.
We dont have room on the roster to take any senior back unless there is a waiver of having more then 13 on scholarship due to Covic
