Man Lucas took some tough arse shots to have such efficient shooting numbers.

Lucas wouldn't come off the bench I don't think!

Sears
Burnett
Lucas
Miller
Bediako

I think this would work better:

Sears
Bradley
Burnett
Miller
Bediako

Burnett is short for a wing but has the wingspan to match up defensively, so he would get the nod over Lucas. Sears would have to start and because of his size is primarily a 1. So basically it comes down to Bradley/Lucas for the off-ball spot but I think Lucas is a better fit as a shooter off the bench. Bradley has a better all-around game that works in the lineup.

Sears/Bradley/Burnett/Lucas would all be getting starter or near starter minutes regardless. Just depends on who fits with who but I think it's pretty safe to say to write Sears in pen at the 1 and slot Burnett in somewhere.

Of the schools Lucas has visited, he said San Diego State offers a chance to play near his parent’s home in Hacienda Heights, Calif. Nevada’s coach is Steve Alford, who recruited Lucas in high school while he was at UCLA.

“I was happy at both schools,” Lucas said. “There’s not been one school where it kind of came out and boom, this is where I want to go. In high school, I knew I wanted to go to Oregon State. This decision, it’s been really hard. Same thing with Washington State. I’m going in with an open mind.”

Auburn was one of the first schools to reach out to him. Luckily, he doesn't seem to be interested.

Just seems reading stuff on Lucas, it seems he’s probably gonna stay out West. Maybe if we can get him to take an official visit, we can pull him though. I just don’t think it’s a coincidence that the first three visits he’s taken are all out there

I understand where your coming from and that would be pretty smart honestly. I don't think Sears come off the bench but yeah Lucas could if we get him.

JQ won't be ready till February if then with how he plays. Bradley & Miles could start but my thing is...one hasn't played a college game and the other isn't proven yet so as of NOW yea Lucas could start.

Maybe his parents would like to move out of Cali to a nice new place here in Bama. NIL baby.

I have a Phi Mu on the payroll. Lot of hidden costs. ROI has been pretty good though, except when they act like shits.

Lucas said he wants to go somewhere that he can play more on ball.

Soooooooooooo I’m not really thinking that’s going to be us.

He’d have the ball in his hands a lot. More of a 1 than a 2

Huh? With Sears and Bradley, he’s not gonna be playing the 1.

He's not a system fit. He's an undersized 4 that can't hit a perimeter shot. He played admirably for us two years ago but, IMO, regressed last season. He does have a blue-collar attitude, which we all appreciated, but he wasn't going to stay if he wasn't going to get minutes.

i strongly disagree. gary didnt regress at all. was on his way to a great year till the minutes vanished mid season whether for injuries, attitude, or whatever. gary usually had great production in the games where he got relevant minutes. baylor and houston are a couple that come to mind. i doubt we win either of those games without gary stepping up in them on both ends. people seem to be forgetting how good a role player he was.

its a tough one to find a suitable replacement for. there are still options in the portal and people seem high on pringle which is good, but the uncertainty that others have over it is also perfectly understandable to me.

I hope you understand they’re not going to all be on the floor at the same time. There’s more than 2 ball handlers on a team allowed
