Yea but I think it's all but finalized that he is coming back unless something very recent changed his mind.

Agreed, just want something official so we know we have exactly two spots to fill without having to say possibly three depending on what JQ does.

Texas big man Tre Mitchell has gone portaling, the portal has informed me.

Also been told by sources that Tony Bergeron has been attempting to get another job by packaging himself with Mitchell.

No takers … thus far.

Texas big man Tre Mitchell is in the transfer portal.

The 6’9” junior averaged 8.7 points, and 4 rebounds for the Longhorns this season before leaving the team due to personal reasons. Mitchell had a lot of success at UMass averaging 18.8 points, and 7.2 rebounds in 20-21.

Yeah I'm with you, we grabbed Mark Sears during the first wave of the transfer portal. The next wave will be from the guys that pull out of the draft.

Was just told he wasn’t quite a fit after the weekend visit. Their were some concerns and staff started looking in other directions. TFWIW.

Almost didn’t post cause I didn’t want it to appear like it was sour grapes. I will say, I have never heard them say something like that on a guy we have missed. Usually it’s, “they wanted to be closer to home” or “he loved this assistant”. So I do believe it.

From our buddy on Nick from BOL, who was pretty reliable for info last year.
