There’s also zero Chance he resigns with New Orleans. So why not trade him while you can before he gets a reputation of never healthy and get a massive haul?

He’s on a rookie contract. When his contract runs out he’s a rfa meaning he can’t just sign wherever he wants, the Pelicans own him for 4+ years. His stock is also at an all time low, and he already has the injury prone reputation. Also what team is mortgaging their future for an injury risk? He’s also on a rookie deal, the salaries for a “massive haul” wouldn’t even match unless you include Brandon Ingram.

Good year to be looking for a PG in the portal. Already were a bunch of names and then Antoine Davis last week, and now Tyrese Hunter (Iowa State) and Yuri Collins (Saint Louis) today.

Hard sells for us though with Sears, Bradley, and maybe JQ coming back. I know we contacted Davis, but I’m not totally sure why he’d be interested in us outside of the legacy angle.

Would be nice if we’d get a run on wings instead.

West Virginia transfer Jalen Bridges is on campus at Baylor for his official visit, he told @Stockrisers. Visited Alabama on an official visit this past weekend. Michigan State, Baylor, Alabama, and Ohio State are the focused schools.

Bridges would be a huge upgrade at the 4/small ball 5. Gotta reel him in somehow, gonna be tough with Baylor riding him hard.

LOL - that's a picture of Grant Avenue in San Francisco. We ducked into the Canton Bazaar in 2019 to get out of the pouring rain the day before the Clemson/Alabama game.

It isn't much but here is what we have at this stage.

On Jalen Bridges, sources indicate the trip went well. Very well, in fact. He wasn't expected to tip his hand and he didn't. But the UA staff did a good job with him and people close to Bridges think Alabama is right in the middle of everything. Does not mean he's an Alabama lock or even a lean. Just means the UA staff did everything they could and they are battling , which is not surprising from Nate Oats and his staff. It's my understanding he left Tuscaloosa and went directly to Baylor. Also very much in contention and he's expected to have a decision soon after. Right now nobody seems to know what he might do, which isn't surprising with a visit left. We are digging and hope to have more when his visit to Waco is over.

Let’s say we miss on Bridges, who’s next guy we would focus on?

Not really sure - there aren't a lot of other guys out there like him. Michael Jones (Davidson) and Ben Vander Plas (Ohio) have been in the portal for a few weeks and we don't seem to be showing any interest (Vander Plas has narrowed down to a top 6).

- Landers Nolley (Memphis) (6-7, 34% 3PT, 80% FT, good defender) (already visited A&M and is about to visit NC State)
- Nahiem Alleyne (Virginia Tech) (6-4, 37% 3PT, 85% FT, 3 yr starter) (visiting FSU this weekend)
- Gideon George (BYU) (6-6, 33% 3PT, 67% FT)

Al-Amir Dawes is a 6-2 guard from Clemson that we've discussed before that hasn't seemed to visited anywhere yet. 37% 3PT shooter, played a lot the last few years, pretty good TO/Steal numbers.
