When he says a "Real" game he clearly insinuates that the game doesnt matter and the reason he isnt going hard in the game.

First u dont know what i mean... Not a kid or a troll. Its a stupid argument youre making against a 5 star kid that is more than likely a one and done lottery pick. Bradley beal is an nba player, but hes never been anything but a scorer ... Forgive me if i dont consider him an authority on brandon miller, especially when no scout or analyst has ever questioned the kid's motor.

There is a pretty big difference between playing in games that count with your team and playing in a glorified pick up game with some other dudes you have never played with before. Basketball All-Star games are like 90% guys trying to get on SportsCenter Top 10. It isn't real basketball.

Agree to disagree if that's how you feel, but going back and forth telling someone else what they meant is pointless - it could be just as easy as you misinterpreting what he meant.

I'm all for some extended Brandon Miller talk, but this has devolved into 2-3 pages of nuh-uh/uh-huh finger pointing which we usually reserve for the in-season thread.

I 100% agree.with that. I just believe he is one of the guys that lets the game come to him unless he knows he can dominate. No way Bradley Beal calls him out if this is just a one time thing.

Bradley Beal said he needs to be more of a dog. He has known the kid since he was 14. All the research i need. Also saw it with my own two eyes.

This is a really weird hill to die on. You're taking an extremely small sample size and a throwaway line by a current NBA player and just ignoring what we already know about Miller.

It's not a big deal he took on more of a passive role in an All-Star game.

Hes the kind of kid thatll contribute in different ways and thats the best way to put it. Hes not selfish and knows when to take over. Thats not having low effort or being nonchalant, but i think youre right that he lets game come to him. Just watch him during EYBL last summer and i believe you adjust your view.

Based on what? This is Twitter level analysis right here.

Imagine talking about Bradley Beal like he's Phil Jackson.

JQ coming back isn't much of a surprise, writing was pretty much on the wall when he changed his social media caption. A lot of smoke from insiders about his return as well. Hope to round out the transfer portal with Bridges and another shooter.

Not expecting much out of JQ this season, but if he can come off the bench and provide some valuable minutes in conference play then I'll definitely take him back. It's not like we basically just didn't waste a couple spots last year.

Beal is a guy who knows more about him than any of us. He plays for Beal AAU team he would know about the kid.

On Miller, if you can watch a tape of the Peach Jam final last year, you will see an awesome Brandon Miller. Players were getting after it for that championship. Miller was the only guy with size on BB Elite, so he had to guard both Jalen Duren and Emoni Bates inside, both taller. He blocked shots right and left and scored inside on them relentlessly. Even though Miller had Nick Smith (who dropped us for Arkansas) on his team, they were way outmanned in that game. Miller is a player.

The combination of this plus not wanting to screw the kid is probably what the staff is thinking. And as noted, it isn't like we didn't have 1-2 wasted spots last year.......and JQ could end up being a positive contributor the last 1/3 of the season.

Getting Sears makes this much more acceptable as an option, IMHO.

I don't think JQ has an attitude problem. If you look back to '21, he had 1 game where he made like 10 3's (or something absurd), then he had a 6-7 game stretch later where he was on fire. Otherwise, he shot sort of the same he did this past year.

I think it's a plus having him back. I think he'll help with the youngsters and maybe he steps up more this year because some guys are gone and he feels more comfortable doing it. Glad he's back.

Agree - the coaches love him. I think he's just one of those guys who struggles defensively and can just kind of mentally shut off on that end of the floor if someone isn't in his ear constantly about it. And offensively he just kind of is he who is - streaky playmaker.
