Jimmy Stein (@qb_country) said on todays Locked On Bama podcast that he is hearing from his sources that Alabama is in “good shape” to land Mark Sears.

What is the initial thought from people on Miller/Bradley being 1 and done?
I would plan on both being gone after the season. We pull a PG in the portal, Bradley may not get starter minutes but he will play enough to get a real evaluation from the league and may leave. I would expect Miller to start and do well enough to leave.
If we pull Sears, we're probably looking at losing both PG after the season. If we have both of them though, it will be fun to watch.

As expected, TyTy is headed to the NBA.

Leonard Miller was one of the breakout players of this basketball season. Just 18 months ago, Miller was a 6-foot-4 shooting guard. He retained those same skills and has grown seven inches and developed a 7-foot-2 wingspan. Miller, a lefty, is a unique prospect in that he can score the ball from numerous spots on the floor. He is an excellent passer and can create, touch the paint, and make the reads. The NBA is now a real possibility for Miller, as much could depend on how he performs at Nike Hoop Summit this week.
Current offers: Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, Providence, TCU, Kansas, Gonzaga, Oklahoma State, G-League, Overtime Elite
Would love to pull him, but he and Brandon Miller are very similar and would compete for the same position most likely.

This season, Miller is averaging 32 points per game while shooting an impressive 40% from three. Despite being 6-foot-10 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan, Miller has guard skills
Would love to have this though.

I think it's probably TCU to play with his brother or a pro route (if offered) for him.

On the other side of the country is Auburn, who has had tremendous success in recruiting the loaded Atlanta pipeline.
"I love how they let their guards play," he said of what stands out about the Tigers. "The system is really good."
I see this kind of quote every year regarding Auburn. Either I'm crazy or everyone else is because I remember Sexton, Kira, and Primo playing at Alabama and being 1st round draft picks.

Would Sears and Llewelyn both be takes?
I feel like with Sears ability to play some 2 it would be possible.
After thinking about it more, I would actually be very down for that combo.

If Quinerly comes back I'd rather not take two more small-ish guards from the portal to pair with a freshman. A lack of length in the backcourt bit us in the arse over and over and over and over again all season.

I'd be happy with the combo assuming both are ok with it and understand the plan going in.
Llewellyn specifically seems like a classic combo guard who can run the PG in certain situations (or just be 1 of 2 PG on the floor).
As Oats has said 100 times, his preference is to have multiple guys on the floor that are "PG" skilled guys.
But that'll be up to the kids and they're thoughts on not being "the PG". But I have to think they are both at least somewhat ok with it as they understand the best high school PG in the country is also going to be there and they are still interested.
* All assuming JQ isn't coming back

After seeing the Mark Sears talk ramp up I finally watched his tape, https://youtu.be/Tkl0V7-S2Og, I really like his game. Lefty with a quick, smooth jumper and a twitchy handle. Sign me up

Yep - he would be a great add. All around solid player.
Like you said, he's definitely got twitch. He's not lightning quick but he seems to find ways to the rim and get guys on his hip.

Yeah, having several guards that can pass, dribble and shoot in various combinations is never a bad idea, especially with the type of system we run.
Sears, Llewelyn, Bradley, Nimari, Miles
That's a pretty good mix of veteran guys (with a 5*) that can shoot, handle the basketball and play defense. That would be a pretty strong back court foundation to work with.

I imagine after this past year that we are going to make sure we have depth of ball handlers. Watching your 2 guys repeatedly commit idiotic turnovers and having nobody to replace them with had to be a horribly frustrating feeling for a coach.
It certainly was as a fan.

Certainly feels like we are trying to do just that.

That's where I'm at as well. My one hesitation is I don't really want an undersized backcourt again but considering both are capable PGs and you have Bradley and Burnett providing size and length in the rotation and I think that lineup could work. I'm trying to temper expectations on the Freshmen coming in but you can throw Griffen in there at the 2 to give you more size if he finds some minutes.
I would also imagine the defense will be better next year with the versatility and length coming in. We can probably get away with having a smallish backcourt at times.

With the pace that our offense tries to run, it certainly makes sense to load up on guys with that skillset.

Even moreso than the garbage defense and 3pt shooting, turnovers are what really killed this team. It was impossible to go on runs because we'd turn the ball over every 3rd possession.
