Bradley may end up being really good for a freshman and it still wouldn't be a good idea to have him be the only primary ball handler on the team. Especially if the secondary ball handlers are going to be a freshman wing and 2 guard. What do we do if he is in foul trouble, or hurt, or struggling with a difficult matchup? We need to bring an experienced PG in from the portal if only for insurance.

In no way am I insinuating that Bradley will be a disaster. My point is only having one true PG on the roster, a freshman at that, would be a disaster.

I agree we need two lead guards for next year either way, so it's either Bradley+JD or Bradley+Transfer. This is my take on next year's line-up:

PG (2): Bradley, JD (Pro) or Transfer
SG (3 or 4): Burnett, Griffen, Shack (Pro) or Transfer
SF (3 or 4): Miles, Miller, Holt (transfer) or Transfer
PF (3 or 4): Gurley, Clowney, Gary (transfer) or Transfer
C (2): Bediako, Pringle

Depending on who all stays (I'm assuming Tchikou and Ambrose-Hylton are definitely out), we have somewhere between 1-5 spots we'll be looking to fill in the portal. I included Gary in the transfer list not because I think he does, but because his minutes have been so diminished this year and it seems like he's regressed, so it at least seems like a possibility now. If I was a betting man, I would say that Shack, Holt, and Gary all stay which leaves a PG spot and another wild card (2-4) spot open for the portal. I think Nate fills the wild card spot with either the best available or at the position he think is the most lacking/needs more competition.

It's going to be a really interesting off-season for sure.

Shack can go but that's just me...I would replace him with Mark Sears.

Staying as of now:
JD
Holt
Ellis

On the fence:
Miles
Gary
Shack (Most Likely Gone)
JQ (Most Likely Gone)

What is this? Staying as of now is Gurley.

On the fence is everybody else besides Bediako and Burnett.

Did I miss something on Ellis?

I think Shack & JQ are gone either way.

The only reason Mark Sears played at a mid major was because of his height. I won't him because of his shooting numbers. I think it will translate with the system we run.

Just an opinion bro

Fair point, i think jd and jq are gone... Shack could come back. Itd give us him and gurley , a portal guy, burnett, miles, and the recruiting class. That is a good mix of youth and experience. Oh qnd bediako too.

Yes! Those three guards all have decisions to make at the end of the season.

Is Mark Sears even in the transfer portal? I've seen and heard lots of talk about him because he is from Alabama, but is he even planning to transfer? No doubt we need an experienced point guard from the portal whether him or somebody else.

Hopefully their next coach isn't able to make much headway with the portal either and they have multiple walk-ons in their regular rotation next year.

As for going after their recruits, I'd say tread cautiously. All those kids are technically ineligible. It's just a question of whether anyone ever finds out what Wade and Armstrong paid them.
