We are already in on several really talented 23 guys. Should be another really good class for us.

Sans Colin Sexton, Georgia has never really been good to us in B-ball recruiting. Holt is the only other guy I can think of in a while that’s committed to us from there.

I think we've done pretty well over there when we have tried. Nick Jacobs and Devin Mitchell also come to mind. I do believe that it's odd that we haven't raided that area like we could have in the past.

Nick Jacobs was a stud offensively......defense not so much. How did he do at GaTech after he left? Anyone know?

IIRC he did pretty well. Same as Justin Coleman.

Just speculating, but I would infer from today's Airplane activity that coach may have visited our two newest commits.

Looks like we made Nick Pringle's top 5

Raw talent and would get him for 3 years. Could be our Center target that has been alluded to earlier this week.

When I said recently, I meant more like the past 10 years or so. If you go back past then, there have definitely been some guys, but even with the amount of talent that comes out of especially Atlanta on a yearly basis, I feel like it’s been tough to break through. Similar to how MS is for football in the “tough to break through” category.

JUCO forward Nick Pringle drops his top 5 schools

Dodge City Community College forward Nick Pringle dropped his top five schools Wednesday on Twitter.

Pringle will be choosing between Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, West Virginia and Wichita State.

The 6-foot-9 forward is considered one of the best recruits on the junior college circuit this season. He narrowed his list from a group of schools that also included Appalachian State, Arizona State, Mississippi State and Tulsa.

“I’m a skilled, versatile forward that impacts the game in many ways,” Nick Pringle told WVSportsNow in October. “I play with a relentless motor, I rebound, guards one through five, pass, spaces the floor, rim protect, screen, all standing at 6’10. I’m a guy that loves to bring energy and play harder than everyone else.”

Dodge City, which is in Kansas, opened its season Monday against the JV team from Kansas Wesleyan. Dodge City won the game 118-64. Pringle, who started the game and played 21 minutes, had eight points on 4-for-5 shooting plus 10 rebounds.

Nick Pringle played a season at Wofford

Pringle played the 2020-21 season at Wofford. He notched 15 appearances off the bench during the campaign, averaging 2.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.

The forward did have one memorable performance — albeit it was against Carver College, a bible school in Georgia that plays in the National Christian College Athletic Association. Pringle had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds in a monstrous 111-37 win on Nov. 28, 2020.

Pringle attended high school at Seabrook (S.C.) Whale Branch.

Alright y'all, i'm about to head to the airport - wife and I are going to the mountains for 5-6 days for a much needed vacation. I'm sure I will pop in the thread(s) here and there, but I won't be posting nearly as much as usual so the rest of you are going to have to pick up my slack and post any news that comes out for the next few days.
