Yeah, his sources/connections are legit and he has a touch of comedy that seemingly no one else in the industry has.

Clinton (Miss.) small forward Kimani Hamilton has Alabama in his top five and will take an official visit to Tuscaloosa on Oct. 23, he tells Jacob Polacheck of ZagsBlog.
Along with the Crimson Tide, Hamilton included Creighton, Georgetown, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss on his list.
At 6-foot-8, 215 pounds, Hamilton is rated the No. 35 small forward and the No. 138 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Alabama men’s basketball will meet Colorado State this December in a renovated Legacy Arena, and the game will be known as the “C.M. Newton Classic,”
Well named, well deserved. I remember watching CM's Bama '77 team beating Michigan in BJCC. CM liked Birmingham games. We played Mizzou and Ole Miss there that year.

Really no excuse not to start 6-0. We will have much more talent than any of those teams.
Won't be easy at all. As Wimp used to say, lots of "bad name, good team." These early games are tough. La Tech won Conf. USA regular season and made NIT semifinals. South Dakota St.won Summit league Last time we played them, Trevor Lacey had to hit a 3 to win the game in Coleman. South Alabama had Auburn beat until the last minute last year. Oakland was only ok in Horizon last year, but are good year in and year out - same coach for 30 something years. Iona is in 2nd year with Pitio and played us tough 1st half in NCAA. Belmont won their league and has everybody back - if Drake beats them, they were in NCAA last year. Kansas (likely) is better than we are. Believe me, Oats has not scheduled easy. This may be the hardest preseason schedule I've seen in 50 years.

FWIW, Eric Bossi posted on the 247 Arkansas forums that he thinks Bama has a decent leg up on Arkansas and Kentucky for Smith. The Arkansas news isn't surprising but some believe that Kentucky with time will become the favorite. Seems Bossi believes its Bama with a decent lead right now which I thought was interesting.

Interesting. Smith has/had a decision date set for 11/20, but I recently saw that may or may not be the date anymore. Not really sure what that means though.

Yeah, there has been alot of back and forth regarding his commitment date. I would guess if it moves up its only positive for Bama.

Man, I’m getting nervous thinking about if our bigs will be able to handle Bartolo Colon in that 1st game

I don't know who La Tech's big guy is, but would not be surprised if we start Gurley or Gary at 5 and run them. We did struggle last year with Western Ky's big guy, but we got better as a team after that.

If we play the pace we want, I can’t see him being able to play a ton of minutes. With that being said, when he is in the game, I don’t think he’ll have an issue scoring.

You just gotta hold your wad, and see what happens. Basketball recruiting is a freaking mess. The term “Wild West” has nothing on basketball. It’s so so dirty

My prediction of us making the sweet 16 under Oats was correct, I just made it a year too early.

So basically if he goes to college it is us but I seem to remember someone saying he does NOT want to go to college so I’m not expecting to see him in this class.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m worried about this season. I’m scared it will go sideways
