the 3 in our system is pretty much always a guard, and the 4 usually is.
You counting Herb as a guard?
A 3 on almost any team often plays on ball offense. Sometimes a team's 3 plays on ball while the 2 is mostly off ball (Ray Allen and Paul Pierce).
I'd call Herb a point forward. More out of necessity than anything. He was our best ball handler until Quin stepped up mid way through the season. Shack tried, but wasn't good at getting other guys involved, and often panicked before finishing with bad layups.

Do you consider Ellis a forward? He played the 4 a lot.
That's because our back court sucked after Brunner got hurt. Ellis is better suited playing 2 then 4, unless the other team is undersized. I also saw Herb play center by last year. It was out of necessity not desire. There's a reason we almost lost to a mediocre Miss St team. Big teams gave us problems.

I’m just excited to see Burnett. I think people are forgetting at one time we all thought he was gonna be a program changing recruit if we landed him
We still got him. And now he's a little humbled and still with 4 years of eligibility.

The last frame in the Twitter video he kind of landed awkwardly. This kid can be a real star but he has to get healthy first.

Bediako's Canadian U-19 squad takes on the USA team at 10:00 today. Catch it on ESPN+ if anyone is interested.

Oh to be young and feel invincible again. I understand his mindset. His leg probably feels good to him and it has been nearly a year since he's gotten to play, so yeah. Oats and the medical staff need to have a come to Jesus meeting with him and get it through his head that basketball will be there for him for the next 15 years if he just has a little patience now. The kid is a lottery pick in terms of raw talent and pissing it away just to play in some stupid pickup game would be something he'd regret for the rest of his life.

This kid Holmgren is rhe skinniest looking dude Ive ever seen in a team USA basketball jersey. He looks like a cross country runner; a really tall cross country runner who can stroke it.
In contrast, i think this Zach Edey kid may have been sired by Yao Ming

I think everything that's being said has been pretty spot on about Frentchie but what alot of people fail to realize is that this guy just wants to PLAY BALL. I don't knock him for what he done shoot we probably would do the same if we were in his shoes but you all are correct because he does need to just relax and HEAL UP. I don't believe that he's a frustrating player shoot I just think that he misses being able to compete period and that's good. I think some people might look at it like he is being selfish for playing in the league but I just don't see it that way.
He just wants to COMPETE!

Juwan Gary is "Baby Draymond "
If he has worked on his offensive game/ball handling skills then this is who I think his game will mimic most!

I don’t blame him for wanting to complete. That’s just wild though. Achilles are difficult injuries. Mike Soroka for the Braves blew his again shortly after he took off the boot while he was just walking.
ETA if that is really 9 months after the injury and he looks that good out there playing, I’m amazed and excited about seeing him for us this year if he is healthy.

I’ll be honest, I don’t know the new timeframe on Achilles, but they used to be hell to come back from. The fact that he was playing without permission, is worrisome. He’s gotta start looking at his health and the team first, or he’s going to have problems.
I'm 3 months into rehabbing a ruptured Achilles. The surgery has come a long way in the last ten years and hopefully he got the Arthrex PARS surgery like I did.
At this point, I'm about to start running again but still can't do any hardcore stopping and starting or jumping.
Based on my own experience with it, I would be shocked if his Achilles is not close to 100%.

Did Kd suffer setbacks or something during his rehab? It was like more than 500 days before he played again.

Damn there was a scary looking fall in the USA-Canada game. Chandler (Tennessee commit) for USA went up for a fast break dunk, jammed it off the rim and fell on his face. Hope he's ok.
Canada falls to USA. By all measures Bediako played terrible. His highlights were diving on the floor for a loose ball and taking a charge. The big butt kid Lofton ate his lunch down low all day. He's gotta learn to keep his feet to avoid stupid fouls.

You are reading too much into these games. Bediako will be just fine here shoot I watched Canada vs Spain and I knew exactly why Coach Oats and company were excited about Bediako! He will be a SHOT BLOCKER, REBOUNDER, & RIM RUNNER for us as a FRESHMAN!

Nice. He should fit in well.

Yeah he has some grit to him. He's not soft. He's just a project. Listen guys, i hope im wrong about it. I hope he balls out and every time he makes a good play you all post frick you Grundy. But i just dont see where he is ready to fit into this system and have it operate at the level we expect. I have no ill will towards the kid and i keep watching hoping he's gonna do something good. He's the only guy on the roster playing right now and just going off of what he's showing in these games, I don't expect him to play a lot of minutes next season.

He hurt it in the playoffs so it was playoff time the next year when it had been a year, and that was the bubble season and his team didnt play in the bubble anyway. So he sat out til the start of this season, he was still playing in the offseason though.
Didnt take it 500 days to heal.

I think ya'll are expecting too much out of Bediako this year.
Needs bulk nd polish at this point.
As for the achilles, it is real easy to reinjure if you are not very careful. It took me over a year to recover but then I'm old and not an athlete at this point.
I hope Holt is a shooter because we are down two from where we thought we woild be.
I don't really think Shack will ever make it in the NBA but I have been wrong many times in the past.

Has anyone in here said they expect anything from him this year other than being a good rebounder and shot blocker? If so I haven't seen it. We know he is raw offensively.
Most of us also know too that his ceiling is much higher than a Carl Egstrom or Jimmy Taylor.
