OK...so the guy on BOL is pretty much always right but I’m even doubting him on this one.
About Kofi Cockburn:
It doesn’t make sense for us to pursue him. Unless we are strictly using Tchikou as a 3/4 and gonna use Cockburn and Bediako as our 5. I think we need a Guard who can shoot 40% from 3.
And then somebody posted Torviks top available players in the portal and compared it to where Shack is ranked on it and he said the following:

I have faith in our new guys, but right now the biggest question mark on our team is still the 5. Cockburn erases that worry and makes it a strength. While I don't think there is any truth to this rumor, you 100% want this kid if he's interested in you. He may not be able to shoot, but we tend to forget that we prioritize efficiency of all kinds and his in close game is as efficient as it gets. Not to mention the fact that with the amount of threes we shoot, it's nice to have a big that can feast on the boards.

Another name to watch is Ahmed Ali.
Played at Washington State and Portland. Very good at the FT line and 38% from 3.
From Toronto
Ranked Higher than Shack on Torviks top available transfers.
LINK
He is also a Super Senior. Idk if he would count against scholarship limits

Is this your speculation or from BOL. I hate that you now have to clarify every statement

The Cockburn thing is from BOL.
Ali is my speculation.

I bet Cockburn's draft feedback was "you play like a center from 2004, and we're going to need to see you pass and shoot better", so if he's looking at us maybe it's because our system will give him the opportunity to show his ability to do those things?
I don't see the fit, but at the same time it's tough to say no if a player like that wants in.

Alabama is playing Colorado State in Birmingham.
#46 in Torviks projections. Return basically their entire roster from a team that went 20-8 (14-4) last year.
This schedule, man.

Well...our flaws will definitely get exposed against this schedule
I mean...I’d like the rest of the games to be nice easy wins

Cockburn had 5 assists and 54 turnovers this year, shot 55% from the free throw line and 40% on non-rim twos.

I think we are biting off more than we can chew. We have had really slow starts two years in a row and we're breaking in basically an all new team against an unbelievably brutal schedule. Why? It just doesn't make sense to me. The formula of 1-2 P-6 games, a tournament, and a handful of good not great mid-majors had been working really well. Especially now that the SEC is a good league.

We are going to #1 SOS aren't we?

I mean, this thing is kind of nuts
Gonzaga
Baylor
Houston
Memphis
Colorado State
3 good teams in Orlando
The remainder better be Southern Miss, Jacksonville, Appalachian State and UL Monroe

I think 8-5 OOC and a 10-8 in conference would get us in.
18-13(10-8).
I think we probably go 20-11 or 21-10 and end up a 6 or 7 seed. Hopefully playing our best BBall in March
