Jermahri Hill (@FattHill1) and Malique Ewin (@MaliqueEwin) were on campus at #Alabama today. Two of the prospects in Georgia's 2022 class who will have a lot of coaches watching them this weekend at @GAcoaches camp.

I can tell you the folks around UK Basketball are VERY concerned. Most of the SEC is about to start allowing players to make money
UK as an institution won’t because the state legislature hasn’t compelled them and they don’t want to violate NCAA rules
So they are stuck

Well there have been a lot more guys that have flopped from overseas than have made it.

Maybe back in the day but Gianna A of the Bucks is one of the best players, so is Luka Donicic and the current MVP from the Nuggetts who went in the 2nd round.

Here's a snippet where JQ talks about Bediako
great interview. jq seemed very impressed with bediakos ability to catch and finish off tough passes. thats such an underrated skill for esp a big to have. even at the college level seems the number of guys who can jump out of the gym but have their minds blown from trying to receive a simple bounce pass are a dime a dozen. needless to say, i look forward to them lobs next season.

Most bigs don't have soft hands, light feet, or quick twitch athleticism. The ones that do have those things typically make a lot of money playing basketball.

yep yep, esp these days. bigs like that have for the most part become mandatory to reach the next level. feels good to have a coach whos system can maximize bediakos potential in that way. tchikous as well for that matter.

Sure would be sweet of Trae to clinch a spot to the ECF tomorrow night.
That would really get Herb’s Father’s Day weekend started off on the right foot.

The Herb Jones basketball family is pretty incredible. Sons Trae Young and Trendon Watford, and grandsons Ben Simmons, Julius Randle, and Joel Embiid.

From @ElonMBasketball to @AlabamaMBB, here are the eight men’s college basketball programs that could reach new heights during the 2021-22 season.
quote:
Alabama
Best tournament finish: Elite Eight (2004)
Best tournament seed: 2 (1987, 2002, 2021)
Highest final AP rank: 5 (1956, 2021)
Fresh off the highest tournament seed in program history, Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide are poised for a massive ’21-22 campaign. While the draft decisions of Joshua Primo and Jaden Shackelford loom large, Alabama should be in a stellar position to compete for another SEC title and lengthy tournament run. Freshman guard JD Davison is the third-highest rated recruit in program history while transfers Noah Gurley (Furman) and Nimari Burnett (Texas Tech) will have major impacts as well.

I may (gladly) end up being wrong about Bediako. He has supposedly been a beast in practice so far. I’ve now seen 2 separate people of BOL who have said JD is struggling.
Here is what a dude on BOL said......

So most of the notes were - about Charles! He said that he dominated the practice down low !
Other tidbits:
1. Really like the skills of Holt but said he needs to get bigger but as far as Bball Skills Holt was very very good. (my comment: we have typically not had players with really good bball skills so good to hear!!)
2 His comment on Gurley was : Very good and perfect for the Oats system but looks awkward on the court. (my comment: not sure what that meant, need to ask more info about awkward...lol...maybe he meant he was not smooth?!?!?)
3. his comment on JD: did not have a good day, shot was off and at times looked like...well...a freshman.
4. Commented on KAH: Around the basket he played well all day with a few dunks and nice blocks on Defense. Bediako and him were going at it which was good to see.
5. Burnett looked good, nothing stood out but definitely will help the team.
6. Miles looks athletic but is the opposite of Holt, i.e. he just needs to pull the pieces together better, get his skillset better, or he will be coming in for mop up duty again next year.
7. Gary and Frenchi did not practice
8. JQ and Ellis did not disappoint and they are they were the top two players in practice.
That was about it..but mentioned Bediako more than once...was pleasantly surprised by his strength and was just killing it on both ends around the basket.

I mean he is a Freshman, he's going to struggle, particularly early on. Assuming this poster has factual info, I like hearing both the hype and the possible concerns. I don't really get the Gurley comment.

Love that stuff. Post all of those that you can, please.

Maybe Gurley is similar to Bruner, who to me, looked “awkward” on the court but was very effective
