The Suns might be the next Golden State Warriors. Always been a fan of Devin Booker, can't believe he even feigned interest in Bama
thinking about booker is kinda funny. if he didnt have a college coach as dumb as cal he wouldve started and no doubt wouldnt of slipped as much in the draft for the suns to steal him. in a way the suns have cals stupidity to thank for where they are right now.

So some guy on BOL posted he actually saw the team practice the other day. I think he is legit because he talked about Rojas hurting his knee and this was 4 days ago(we didn’t find out about Rojas until yesterday). Here is what he saw:
quote:
Quinerly and Ellis looked great. I really liked Tchikou. Rojas looked like he injured a knee. Primo and Shack were absent.
quote:
Bediako just did ball handling on the side, did not participate. Jd was solid, he didn't shoot it very well at all. The practice basically consisted of a lot of shooting drills and fast break stuff. Gurley will definitely add some good depth. With Primo and Shack , we should have a very good squad. After seeing what I saw and previous years my first 5 would probably look like this...
Primo
Quinerly
Ellis
Tchikou
Shack or Jd
The Holt kid was also fairly impressive at what they were doing in this practice, but keep in mind it was a lot of offensive advantage fast break stuff

You talking about Bradley's father's description of the visit?
Yeah, mostly this part:
quote:
“What we wanted to do was we had a couple schools on the radar … we wanted to visit schools we had never visited before,” Bradley’s dad said of UA securing an official. “He wanted to go places and see what the culture was at those schools we have never been to so far.”
I read that as him saying they already had a top couple of schools in mind but were visiting other places just to be sure.

I can see that. The family knows Hodgson and Oats just from New York, when they were at Buffalo, so had not been to Alabama campus, but I did not see that as a real negative. He does already know Bediako and Miles from IMG, and having Kira there, plus 5 star recruits like JQ and JD gives us a really good look for grooming point guards.

This dude is my sleeper for this class. He could put up big numbers in this system.
Oats keeps track of all the shots these guys are putting up in practice. If Holt is one of the top shooters he will get minutes.
Kinda surprisingly it sounds like Burnett is killing it shooting the ball in practice. He will definitely get a ton of minutes based on what we know at this point.

Loved sitting down with potential 1st round pick Josh Primo this morning to break down film. Really impressed with how he's able to dissect tape. The 18-year-old Canadian has a very diverse résumé between Alabama, the U19 Candian National Team, and Basketball Without Borders.

Was able to watch Josh Primo work out this morning in LA. Great size @ around 6-6 with a 6-10 wingspan and a really strong base. Shoots it easy out of a variety of different actions: 38% from 3 on 113 attempts as a freshman. Great balance. Primo won't turn 19 until December 24th.

He was billed as a good shooter with NBA range out of high school, so it's not that surprising. Something in his shot got broken at TTU. His mechanics were all kinds of fricked up.

Brandon Miller is the one whose dad played football at Bama right? Hopefully that gives us an edge with him.
