Would love to see 75% or better. Would put us top 50.
No doubt killed us last game.

Mississippi State freshman Deivion Smith is entering the transfer portal, a source told @Stockrisers. The former four-star recruit averaged over 5.3 points per game and had 17 points in the NIT championship game.

We recruited him out of HS.

It will be crazy to see how many SEC guys are still in the league next year but on different teams.

Keep hoping for Disu to put his name in. Would love to add him.

The portal is out of control. The coaches that figure this out and how to balance this against HS recruiting are the ones that will succeed. You almost have to make a decision each year - are you close and just need one immediate plug and play piece? Then you perhaps pass on a great HS prospect for a good but ready to go now transfer that fills a need. Are you rebuilding? Then you take the higher ceiling HS kid with an eye towards peaking 2-3 years from now.

Congrats on the great season! I haven't been following CBB much this season (barely even Auburn) do to IRL stuff but wanted to tip the cap to a great yr 2 for Oatz 'n Hoez

Also, fricking absurd that Baylor is in the Final 4 in large part due to former UA commit Jared Butler (key offensive player) and AU transfer Davion Mitchell (Bilas said MVP of tournament so far)

Both players left UA / AU for seemingly absurd reasons Butler for medical clearance and Mitchell not wanting to back up Jared Harper (who ended up going pro)

These are the ones that have to make you stop and look at the program and wonder if there are some issues. Freshman who played relatively well and often for a team returning most of their roster...why would he want to leave where he is?

No worries, we know you’ll be back on the regular to converse when Alabama is bad and Auburn is good again.

That 7-5 nonconference record is very telling.

Beat one decent nonconference team all year. Beat 4 decent conference teams.

Pretty overrated. Look for Bama to be back around 18-15 next season.

Legit sad to see the megathread gone. Eight months to go. Next one will be longer. Hoping to see cranes and demolition crews outside Coleman soon.

I'm still curious what the biggest basketball megathread has been. It seems like they'd usual struggle to hit 1000 pages.

Seems to finally be the Zags year.
It'll take a team like Baylor giving their best 40 minute, minimum, mistake free effort of the season to have a chance.

If Baylor can control the tempo, and turn it into half court sets, they can win. But if Gonzaga shoes a lot of transition points, they will easily win. Baylor's physicality is going to make it interesting.

He won’t. In today’s woke culture there is no chance Oats will win against Howard.

Everything doesn't have to be about race and you being a victim.

Maybe... just maybe Howard will win because the media loves Michigan (especially in basketball), have favored the B1G all season long (gave them NINE tourney spots) and refuses to embrace the fact the south besides Kentucky, NC and Duke are anything but Football schools.

Seriously. It's the megathread, not the magathread. Let's keep politics off of here.
