Two fold with Coward. Have to beat out Duke and then hope his draft feedback isn’t good so that he actually makes it to campus

I don't think he'll go into draft. He's considered second round pick.
I think he's a better fit with Alabama than Duke.
Strengths
Three-Level Scoring: Consistently creates offense at all three levels with craftiness and counters.
Physical Play: Plays bigger and stronger than his listed height and weight, using his frame to overpower smaller defenders.
Court Relocation: Exceptional at finding open spots on the floor and relocating off the ball.
Positional Versatility: Capable of playing multiple positions due to his unique combination of size, strength, and skills.
Mid-Range Game: Efficient mid-range scorer with a knack for creating separation in tight spaces.
Concerns
Defensive Discipline: Tends to gamble defensively, often leading to missed assignments and unnecessary fouls.
Limited Playmaking: Focused on scoring rather than creating opportunities for teammates.
Three-Point Shooting Consistency: Struggles with maintaining efficiency from beyond the arc.
Off-Ball Utility: Lacks effectiveness without the ball due to limited movement and contact initiation.
Questions
Can he improve his defensive fundamentals and limit gambling on plays?
Will his three-point shooting consistency improve to make him a viable off-ball option?
Can he evolve into a more balanced offensive player with playmaking ability?
How will his unique journey and adaptability translate to the demands of the NBA?

Glad I'm not a major college basketball coach.

Fit these days is mostly about the wallet.

It's bad when we're fight blue bloods in the portal. Wtf are we suppose to get talent?

If schools fight back , ncaa will get off the sidelines. Can't lose a game if you don't play it.

This is just speculation at this point but Nate is turning heads in the NBA. This is when we should be holding our breath that we can keep Oats in Tuscaloosa.

Not the right time honestly.
Maybe in the future but I'm not worried about the NBA just yet!
There's certain things the NBA can't mimic when it comes to college basketball.

I don't buy some low rent website having a scoop. There's nothing there in the article other than trying to manifest it. Hell, with a lot of this stuff on the internet now, I'd almost bet on it being something to seed discussion on the internet to soil a recruiting pitch for a player (Coward, etc).
With that said, if there was any year for him to dip out...it may be right now because I think next year is more of a "make the tourney" year than "make a run at it" year.

Smoke on Twitter is that Rylan is back. Seems like both are settling. Word was Oats had already passed on him once and Rylan doesn’t look like he has anywhere else to go.

I'm a wait and see what some of the insiders say. I don't really trust twitter sources. Lol

Our staff wanted Boogie over Philon. We can hope that Boogie saw that we turned a guy rated lower than him into a 1st round pick and we have a need at guard.
You’d have to think Arkansas isn’t a team to get out bid with the boosters they have.

I think the vast majority of college coaches are pretty close to the end of their rope in the two big sports.

I’d be a lot more likely to stay a college basketball coach than football if the pros came calling. College basketball has about 63% less games and the job security is a lot better than nba.

Harder to get rid of the players, so the coaches get crucified for the fans anytime success isn’t where they’d like it to be.
