Every time I've heard or read him talking about notional championship it has always been: I believe we can win "a" national championship here. Is that significant? Or am I just paranoid?

Doesn't seem like much of an update to me.

With a kid like him, with the way he's hit prep schools, do aau coaches really have that much influence still? It was absurd how much they had. Just not sure if that's changed with NIL, where you don't need a sketchy middleman.

If they are still in h.s., i'm sure some of the AAU coaches do. NIL has evened the playing court to a certain point.
AAU coaches probably spend more time with these kids in the spring/summer than most of their family.
