Shack & Primo aren’t even on the radar of being a 1st round pick. The sites I viewed don’t even have either player in the Top 100 players. They are just gathering info, this is a non-story. Both will be back.

You're right about Shack, but Primo has a very outside shot and could be convince to stay in. ESPN has Primo as their 38th ranked player on their Big Board.

I'd be very surprised if Primo was selected in the first-round, but we've seen players jump and be burned by teams/scouts telling them they're first round material.

Didn’t realize he was this high. If his workouts go well, he’s got a shot to sneak in the back end of the first round

You obviously dont pay attention to Petty. He does not want to handle the ball at all.

Petty is not a comfortable dribbler at all.

However, some posters are just pointing out that Petty still drove to the rim and scored or assisted a basket successfully more often than Primo.

Primo certainly has a much higher upside in this regard but it really is unproven since he was the least likely wing/guard we had to drive the basket successfully this past season.

Dylan Disu is in the portal from Vandy. He’ll be a major get for a program.

Time to let Gurley out of his LOI and go after Disu.

JK, I like them both about the same, very happy with Gurley.

If Primo believes in himself, he'll come back. He can definitely move up in the draft with a solid year. He fell apart 2/3 of the way through the season and lost all confidence. That doesn't scream I'm ready for the NBA even though he could be drafted late in the 2nd round imo if he went this year. If he needs to get a little tougher, he lacked that when trying to rebound inside with the big boys. And why leave that money on the table?

it's gonna be a long offseason. rtr

The announcer in the Wednesday Night Baseball National TV Game between the Braves and Yankees just mentioned Alabama Basketball and Herb Jones's play. Truly times have changed for Bama Basketball .

Re Primo, after the Big 12 Challenge he averaged 6.5/ppg and 3.5/rebounds per game during the regular season and that was with a 19 point game against Aub.

Without the 19 point game, it's around 5/ppg. Not exactly getting it done on the offensive end late in the year.

Just curious. What would Primo's points per 40 minutes be?

Primo has no shot at getting drafted this year, he will be back.

JQ is the only one I am concerned about, I think a team would at the least take a shot on him as a undrafted FA and put him in the G league to develop some more. I think he has a lot to gain by coming back and could work his way into the first round with a strong season.

He has said on twitter he is coming back so I assume he will unless he gets really good news during the draft process that a team for sure wants to draft him or something.

JQ hasn't even declared yet though has he? It's just Shack and Primo so far from what I have seen.

I'm a little surprised at how high Primo is on ESPN's top 100 NBA Draft prospects list.

He's #38. Johnny Juzang is #50. Herb is #59.

Granted, he's really young and that matters in a positive sense with the draft. He's 18 and a guy like Juzang is 20.

Not that the ESPN 100 is some unquestioned authority - I just think it's mildly interesting.

My initial impression is that he needs to show he can get to the basket and finish to be a round 1 guy. An to be fair, he doesn't seem like a round 1 guy at this point.

That's the only list I have seen him high on recently, I have probably seen about 30 recent 2021 mock drafts in the last month and he wasnt listed on any. I know he was on a couple back before the season started.

Not yet but it is expected that he will declare while maintaining his eligibility and test the waters.

4 star guard trey alexander decommitted from Auburn. Ya know, you just HATE to see it. Also wonder if it means Auburn has its eyes on a different guard or if this is based off of taking Sills?
