Was pretty cool to see all of Naas Cunningham's teammates behind him yelling Roll Tide and hyping him up after he announced.

Do we think he's wavering on that?

I don't have any inside info on it, but I would say the fact that he isn't signing in the early period suggests that it's a possibility.

Talking about Naas.

Oats just goes out a nonchalantly grabs a top 50 guy like it’s nothing. In the Grant days that was the prized recruit that we use to worry nonstop over.

Yeah because we all knew the backup plan would be an outside the top 150 player with offers from Ole Miss, UGA, and UAB, a Swedish handball player, or the 4th best player on some JuCo team.

This dude looks like he could be amazing. His highlights on his commitment video make him look like the prototype wing for Oats' system. Long, big wingspan, shoots 3s and slashes, and he seemed to be bought in on the "you don't defend, you don't play" philosophy.
Obviously no clue on the details of his backstory and rankings drop, other than ote and it was a little expected. But everything that's gone on could've very well humbled him. Made him realize he's gotta keep working. He definitely said plenty of Oats buzzwords during his interview.
And yeah, I'm remembered a time when we were hyped as hell about getting a handball player ("Dirk played handball!!!).

Him and Ferguson have scarred me from ever believing a commitment is a sure thing.

Cunningham is from New Jersey and Sherrell is from Detroit. Where the top recruits play "high school" ball is rarely where they are actually from anymore.

Think img academy, but on steroids. That's elite high school basketball.

I haven't seen their names mentioned yet, but I hope Aiden and Naas are both signing during this early period.
