Kentucky got the easiest path of virtually any 1 or 2 seed in my opinion. Maybe I’m underestimating Murray St, but nobody would scare me if I’m KY.

At this point conference tournaments clearly don't matter to the committee at all, right?

I don’t know how you put all 3 Big Ten bubble teams in after that conference got completely exposed last year. A&M, Oklahoma, and probably 1 or 2 others were more deserving. Big10 overrating due to TV markets is so frustrating.

College basketball journalists and television personalities are much worse about this sort of treatment of coaches. Saban doesn’t have a cadre of nuthuggers on ESPN like Coach K, Jim Boeheim, etc.

He has called our offense a gimmick multiple times in the past, which is interesting considering that Oats has been to the NCAAT 5 times in 7 years as a HC with that gimmick, and Seth only managed to make it there 3 times in 22 years playing real basketball. Crazy.

Yeah, they are pretty favorable to Elite 8 as well, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in a dog fight with Jacksonville St. in round 1 as SOG said. Completely depends on how they shoot on open 3s.

Idk….they remind me a lot of past Tennessee teams. They can ugly it up offensively.
